I've yet to hear a Christian say either of those. Probably because it implies god is a lot more limited than they want to believe.Darth Ruinus wrote:Maybe God has no free will, and he knows he HAS to do it?

An omniscient entity can't have free will. If you know everything, that includes what's going to happen; how can you know what's going to happen and still be powerless to change it if you have free will? The very idea of an omnipotent, omniscient god is self-contradictory.Superman wrote:I've yet to hear a Christian say either of those. But yeah, try telling that to a believer.

Well then, what about an entity that is simply omniscient? Or one that is simply omnipotent? (Or, whatever it is called that they can do anything, yet dont know everything?)
A being that can do anything, yet doesnt know everything wouldnt seem like someone to worship, since being able to do everything doesnt really convey wisdom or knowledge.
However, on that knows everything would be quite wise and enlightening, though not powerful at all.
I hope I make sense

Well, an omniscient being wouldn't just not be able to do everything; it wouldn't be able to do anything, since omnipotence isn't required to change the future.
This could of course be remedied by saying that our hypothetical omniscient being doesn't just see everything that will be, but everything that could be, LotR style, and can just choose between different futures or something.
