That back turret seems way oversized. You might want to scale it down a bit as it looks like it's bigger and heavier than the structure it's on top of.

Well i dont remember the Chigs cause its been an age since i saw that series. Though yay another person likes my work.
In other news i tried my hand at sfx to get it to fire two of its four main beams

This is more a learning exercise than anything but at any rate its a head that looks rightish so i'm posting it to see the opinions of the learned critique.

Its my third attempt at modelling a 3d human head. The first turned out very very wrong and the second looked sorta like a gray, in the flying saucers and anal probe sense.

Actually these were going to be a new shiptype if the game continues. If of course we try rebooting the game as may be necessary i'll rework these as the main battleships as its been ages and a significant upping in skill since i did the destroyer class ships in wings freakin 3d.

How'd ya guess these were chamaran though?

The Kitties seem to be your personal Favs in terms of aliens, just as the "UISC" was my own pet progect in the last STGOD, i figured if you had spent that much time on a ship, it was probably for the Chamarans.

You're getting pretty good, at least on par with the early cgi for Babylon 5, and because of that I think it looks awesome!

WIP, only got the bow part built which is shown here. Proof that not all ships need to be pretty i'm trying a less well used style for spaceships.

You´re getting quite good. I esspecially liked this one:

Spaceship

The head wasn´t that great but not bad for the beginning. If you want to go deeper into character modelling you will sooner or later have to invest in an anatomy book.

Here´s a very good tutorial for modelling a human head, torso and other body parts. I used that to learn character modelling and was quite happy with it.
