Incredible Hulk Trailer
I'm suprised that no one has posted this yet. Anyway I didn't see it anywhere else so here you go.

For one I think it looks great.

OK, now there is no doubt that at all that Ang Lee simply dropped the ball and is no way shape or form to do comic book movies again. THAT is a Hulk movie dammit and Edward Norton looks to make an awesome Bruce Banner. The differences in tone and excitement level just from this trailer and the whole fucking Ang Lee atrocity is night and day.
Wherever you go, there you are.

OOOO goosebumps.
Yeah, Ang Lee really fucked it up, but there still seems to be an awful lot of talking in this one. Hopefully though, they can get through it at a good pace so we can get to some Hulk Smash.
I mean really, a good story is icing on a movie like this. Bruce Banner could be a deaf and dumb janitor, as long as the Hulk is compelling.
Between Iron Man and this, I am fucking psyched!

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

Funny you should say that...did you hear about the confirmed role Robert Downey Jr. has for the Hulk?havokeff wrote:OOOO goosebumps.

That's the second site that said it wouldn't play outside the US and-um, it did for me?
And looks like I'm the only one who liked the last Hulk movie.

In all honesty I don't know shit about the Hulk so all of this is new to me. With the exception of the "guy gets angry and turns into a giant green monster".

The HD version of the trailer works outside the US.

I thought it was okay and showed a lot of nostalgia for the era the Hulk comics started in, and some of the classic imagery, but I think too much time was spent in trying to come up with a more "realistic" scientific way for the Hulk to come into being. If they cut out all the back story about Bruce's father doing genetic tests on himself and inadvertantly passing them on to Bruce they could have shortened the movie quite a bit and I think that would have made a lot of people like the movie more.Batman wrote:That's the second site that said it wouldn't play outside the US and-um, it did for me?

IIRC both of Ang Lee's parents are scientists and I think it showed because he tried way to hard to justify the Hulk. I mean, some of it was cool, like how he bled off heat as he lost mass in the change back to Banner but the rest just slowed down the movie too much. People who go to a movie about the Hulk want to see him smashing some shit, or hitting some shit. There just wasn't enough of that in the first movie.

As for the new movie. It looks like the Abomination is looking a bit more like the Ultimate Abomination. Which is okay but I was looking forward to seeing the wing eared classic. He also reminds me a bit of the guy Mr. Hyde fights at the end of the film version of The League of Extrordinary Gentlemen.

They filmed some of those action scenes in my home town, Hamilton, Ontario. My wife's niece and her husband were staying at a friend's place during the night shoots, and they apparently did quite a number of crash scenes over and over again.

Love the trailer, Hulk looks dirtier than in the first movie.
Somehow Hulk's face looks faintly similar to Foligno's Hulk.

How the hell did you miss that? Jeez, it came up in FAN's Iron Man movie thread, and I even mentioned it conversing to you when I said I didn't like the idea of crossover movies.havokeff wrote:How the FUCK did I miss that?!?!

Hulk looks better than the first one. Edward Norton is the perfect man for pretty much any role like this. My only real problem with the trailer is the Abomination - the face looks a little bit fake, like they just photoshopped a human face onto the monstrous body - and that he's not played by Ron Perlman.Tsyroc wrote:As for the new movie. I liked the last Hulk movie. If this doesn't have the same amounts of copious military hardware as the last one, I may be sad.

I wasn't aware that Tony Stark was actually in the trailer.
Is he? I know he's in the movie--probably just a bit part--but is he actually in the trailer?

Keep in mind that Samuel L. fucking Jackson is in Iron Man, but they didn't stick him in the trailer for that, either. They might want to keep this kind of thing low-key so at least some people will be surprised when they see the movie in theaters.
