Today is March 15. This is the date that one of the our mayor revolutons started, by three poets at its lead, the most important among them is someone whom some of you may already have heard of: Petőfi Sándor.
Usually, this is a time of rememberence and reflection of one's country. Time for standing in pretty cloths for a long time while poems and speeches are told, the time for our proffesional army to show itself off, the time for our politicians to shut up about their usual bullshit and talk about about the current world and our nation in it. A time for one whole minute of silence, in memoriam of the people lost.
That's what happens in normal western countries anyway.
Here? We riot.

(look at the centre, this is the only digital image I can supply right now)
That's it, there is a mayor riot going on in the capitol (Budapest). The rioters have already pulled out the molotov cocktails on the police. I'm not kidding.

It was far worse during the 50th anniversary of 1958, another revolution againts Soviet oppression. We had many people coming here to show their respect, including Bush and other country leaders. While the government's officials made a complete minute of silence in memoriam, you could hear the rioters chant political bullshit that could have waited another day.
Yep, I am not particularly proud of my country.
I can't cite a proper source, as this is happening as I speak. Here is a native video feed of the news reporting about it. You can't skip the commercial.
