We've got two armories full of assorted SP weapons, 2 heavy stubbers, an infirmary to loot and no opposition.

We also have 2 unexplored buildings one of which made varius act kinda weird. My personal vote is stuff our backpacks with guns, ammo, and medical supplies, then burn the whole fething place down.

For extra hilarity pouring out the burning well water into an aquila symbol should leave some gangers scratching their heads. :D

As for me I spent my 400 on:

Awareness (because I consider it vital for almost any character and being ambushed sucks)

Basic Weapon Training (las)- Because las weapons are cheap, easy to reload in a hive, and if I get ahold of a long las I can take advantage of my ballistic skill to hang back and plink since I shoot much better than I melee.

Ballistic Skill Advance- 44 BS wheeeeeeeeeeee!

Decieve- I've got a 47 fellowship score dammit I need to be able to fully exploit it SOMEHOW. May as well be good at bullshitting.

Nixios... yeah, he set a guy on fire with his lascarbine at least once, if not more, I think with a Righteous Fury at least once. He basically managed to get off a couple of good shots.

Also, some of the commentary was great. Like, when we were accounting for what mutants were dead or not, we realized we had taken down mutants 10, 8, 9 and then someone commented that we should shout out, "We're coming for you next 7!" followed shortly thereafter by telling 6 that he should be afraid of us (why is 6 afraid of 7? etc.). It is of course funnier when you're there, but there was some great stuff. Oh, and we introduced Hotfoot to the Carol of the Old Ones.

On a final note, Skype is terrifying because you get to hear the GM giggle with sadistic glee.

When the mutants came in, that was a night where nothing seemed to go too well for me. I couldn't really hit anything, and Lazarus seemed to always be in the wrong place to do anything worthwhile (my grenade missing at 4 meters range and scattering too much to do anything was the most frustrating moment). I chalk it up to anemic luck, but at least nothing bad happened to my character. Matters weren't helped by my brain shutting down due to the marathon session we did.

Also,l'd definitely get Sype for when we do fights. My computer's sound is all messed up at the moment, so I missed out on all the chatter and wasn't able to keep up on goings on as well as a result. It took some away from the game for me (got no one to blame but myself on that. Hopefully I'll finnally get the damn computer fixed this weekend.)

I'll edit this post with what I do with my 400xp once I have a chance to go over the options

Edit: I think I am going to spend my points an a +5 increase to Agility, and buy the dodge skill. That will cost me 350xp.

Academia, I've used some of my experience to buy the Heavy Weapons Training (SP) for Xerxes, so he can use the Heavy Stubber. You don't have to get the skill if you don't want to.

What advances I took:

Sound Constitution (third time for Conscript)
Heavy Weapons Training (SP)
Simple Ballistic Skill increase

Gotcha. Then my purchases will be Ag and Dodge, with 50 left over. Obviously after getting into a stubber duel I was more interested in learning how to dodge than shooting with it. This increase in agility will then lead me to go for the two weapon wielding.

Incidentally, picking up a machine pistol or two would be nice for later on. Mmmm... firing on full auto at point blank range with two machine pistols. That's just wrong. Fun, but wrong.

Well, before I showed up to take control of Camillia, she apparently shot a ganger in the head.

After I showed up, she Unnatural Aimed and fired at mutants basically every round. She hit almost every time too, I think she missed like 3 times out of about 12 shots. The first kill was a mutant behind a far stone wall, she blew the arm off and blood poured everywhere. The next one was the one behind the fountain, who got cooked and bled horribly, while flaming water stuff was burning around him. The third died less spectacularly, and the fourth was a called shot to the head, barely in sight, but the compact laspistol superheated and exploded his brain. The other hits was much less spectacular, only making the mutants groan in pain or going "plink!" off their armor. Total kills for the whole encounter: 5.

Camillia's gonna take Pistol Training (SP) and Psy Rating 2. That gives 5 additional minor psychic powers, which will be Spasm (at the GM's suggestion), Staunch Bleeding, Spectral Hands, Float, and Chameleon. She has 200 XP left.

What about the last hundred XP Hawkwings? Pistol training only costs 100 and Psy Ranking 2 is 200, so you should have 100 left after that.

oops, mistake in the wrong direction. Should only have 100xp left, which I'm not spending yet.

I'm afraid not. That's a typo on Psy Rating 2. It only gives half your Willpower bonus in additional minor psychic powers. You can check the Black Industries Q&A for additional confirmation or note that every other level of Psy Rating only gives half your Willpower bonus in minor powers.

Alright then, fixed stuff for Camillia:

Pistol Training (SP), Psy Rating 2, 3 new powers which will be Spasm, Staunch Bleeding, and Spectral Hands, and 100 XP left over.

She also picked up a stub automatic from the armory.

I'm paralyzed with indecision. I've got:

Scholastic Lore (Legend) (100) - level up
Inquiry (100)

But I'm not sure what to do with the other 200. I definitely want to take Blather (200) at some point simply because it's in-character for Zak, but I'm also looking at Peer (Administratum) (200) and (Academics) (100), High Gothic (100), Logic (100), Forbidden Lore (Cults) (100) though I have -5 to FLore, +10 Literacy (100), and CLore (Administratum) (100).

Yeah, there is so much neat stuff to pick up, but you have to carefully plan out what you're going to take so that you can take other things later. Sometimes you realize you have to sacrifice something to get something else later.

Still, someone capable of blathering in High Gothic... it brings a smile to my face.

I agree with Feil on this point RIPP, your written accent is so exagerated that it's getting painful to read. Please tone it down, or eliminate it all together from the writing (He can still use it ICly, but not like this please.)

Also, DP, where the hell did that Heavy Bolter come from?? Can we get a tally of everything there is to loot so we can sit down and parse out what we can carry away and what will be getting burned with the rest of the. . . water?

We'll have ask Hotfoot for a tally of everything there, though I really doubt we can carry everything with us. He did tell me over Skype though that "there was a hell of a lot of SP weapons dropped and an armory you guys can raid" and said that at least one of us should take a Heavy Stubber.

No Bolters, just stubbers.

In the Armories:
Guns
8 Autoguns (28 kg)
9 Autopistols (22.5 kg)
7 Shotguns (35 kg)
8 Stub Revolvers (8 kg)
12 Stub Automatics (18 kg)
6 Hunting Rifles (30 kg)
3 Hand Cannons (9 kg)
3 Heavy Stubbers (105 kg)

Ammo
2480 Bullets (213 kg)
260 Shells (65 kg)

From the Corpses:
Guns
3 Autoguns (10.5 kg)
8 Stub Revolvers (8 kg)
7 Shock Mauls (17.5 kg)

Armor
1 Set of useable gang leathers (5 kg)
4 sets of primitive chain (90kg)

Ammo
200 bullets (17 kg)

From the Infirmary:
3 Medikits (with 5 doses of stimm left between them) (6 kg)

Keep in mind that the average character can only carry so much. Strength Bonus + Toughness Bonus = Carry number. Here are the relevant carry numbers for reference:

Carry
4 = 18 kg
5 = 27 kg
6 = 36 kg
7 = 45 kg
8 = 56 kg

Lift
4 = 36 kg
5 = 54 kg
6 = 72 kg
7 = 90 kg
8 = 112 kg

You can carry more than your carry limit (but less than your lift limit) for a number of hours equal to your toughness bonus. Carrying any more than that severely slows you down.

So figure out what you're carrying folks, and don't forget a rough estimate of the gear you've already got on.

I couldn't carry back the heavy stubber unless I give up at least 8 kg of items - I'm already at my carry limit.

In light of this, I probably shouldn't take the heavy weapons (sp) advance. :P

Those are the totals. Each heavy stubber is 35kg.

Meanwhile, going over your carry limit isn't that bad a thing for now, but it's something you're going to have to work on in the future. :P

Hmmm, given whats in the armoury I'm going to rebalance what Lazarus is carrying in his duffle bag of death. I'll take one of the hunting rifles, an autopistol, and an autogun. I'll also have my laspistol and lasgun that I started with. My shotgun I'll have to leave behind. Thing is just too damn heavy if I want to carry any ammo. My sword will have to go as well. As far as ammo goes, I'll have six extra clips for the autopistol, 8 for the autogun, and four for the hunting rifle (as well as one frag grenade that I bought at character creation). That pretty much puts me at my limit.

Edit: If you really need me to hump ammo for thee heavy stubber I can do so, i"ll just be overburdened for awhile. I don't plan on carrying all these guns all the time. Hopefully I'll be able to stash some of them eventually. If we want to be bastards and sell some of these guns on the black market, the pistols are probably the best bet for that, as they are easier to transport and worth quite a bit.

Varnius intends to claim a stub automatic, stub revolver, a hand cannon and a pair of autopistols as weapons. Can you say proficient with pistols but doesn't get basic weapons until his next career? I knew you could. He'll want some ammo to go with that, of course.

He's not terribly burdened with all that and will be willing to help carry stuff for other players. We can always sell extra for cash.

As for the hunting rifle, it seems to exist only to make long las look good.

K, I'll keep the accent down.

Anyhoo, I'll take an autopistol, hand cannon, and throw a hunting rifle and autostubber in Octavius' duffle. He'll also take 90 rounds for the auto stub, 20 for the hunting rifle and 27 for the autopistol. He'll dump the stub-pistol and the shotgun.

EDIT: Right forgot hand cannon rounds. 25.
