:?: I am unfamiliar with those; please enlighten me.
ZARDOZ is an insane British movie movie staring Sean Connery about a post apocalyptic Earth in which Six Shooter armed men in speedos and Bandoliers who hate Penises and worshiping a giant floating stone head created by imortal people that go about shooting people.

You forgot the wedding dress. That was...I don't even know what to say.

The DVD commentary by the director is hilarious and full of WIN, btw. They filmed in Ireland, in the 70s, and let's just say, not all the AK-47s were props.

I guess I'm somewhat forced to eat my words. But, to be fair, the ads totally made this seem like it sucked.

It a mishmash of stuff just like was previously said. That said, it's pretty fucking awesome. From Mad Max, Army of Darkness, Gladiator, 28 Days Later, fucking Lord of the Rings, there's everything in this movie, but it works. The kills are gruesome and doesn't seem to be CGIed in. You got decapitations, more hand severing than a Star Wars trilogy, and a crazy Mad Max-ian car chase scene.

Yes, it's the Bentley, but even though its forced, you don't care because of the awesomeness of the car chase.

There is also a somewhat legit reason for them to go into Scotland. It's not something they can do by satellite. Hell, the only reason they go in is because they picked something up by satellite.

And hey, Alexander Siddig is in this.

It's like the crazy action movie of this year. Like Shoot 'Em Up or Crank before it. It won't make a huge amount. But, I predict it will kill on video.

If you like crazy action movies that don't skimp on being gruesome or full of R-rated action, then you should definitely check this out.

And, poor little bunny. :(

It seems to me it's an intentional parody of that exact phenomenon. From what I can tell, it's a horror fan's horror film, written by a guy that knows what he's doing. It's referencing the genre for amusement's sake. I suspect I'll like it.

I'll watch it just to see her fail at being as hard as Snake Plissken. Nice ass though.

I saw it yesterday.

It's an A- movie, i had to take SOME points off solely because it's basically Escape from New York for forty minutes, then LOTR for fifteen minutes, then Mad Max up till the end...

But that being said, i cant say i did not enjoy it. It was fun, gruesome and the chick that looks like the girl from Underworld (don't know either one's name) is hot, even if she only has one eye. Oh yeah the eye, talk about Checkov's Gun...that was introduced only a few minutes into the movie, that the main character has a bionic eye, and they actually found some good ways to make use of it.

All in all, it was a fairly good movie, rips off a lot but it works.

...are there dueling chainsaws?
I do need to see this film, judging by the reviews. Not too big a fan of splatterfests, but I do enjoy action.
