Ian Banks novels now in the US

Post by Bob the Gunslinger »

Today I saw the Ian M Banks novels Consider Phlebas and Player of Games at my local Borders. They're finally back in print in the USA! Just thought I would share this with everyone who might be interested in his work.

Yay... when Nitram gets out of the hospital he'll be happy.

Nitram, slightly high on cough syrup: Do you know you're beautiful?
Me: Nope, that's why I have you around to tell me.
Nitram: You -are- beautiful. Anyone tries to tell you otherwise kill them.

I demand Use of Weapons!!
"A person is smart. People are dumb, panicky, dangerous animals and you know it. Fifteen hundred years ago everybody knew the Earth was the center of the universe. Five hundred years ago, everybody knew the Earth was flat, and fifteen minutes ago, you knew that humans were alone on this planet. Imagine what you'll know...tomorrow."

Hmm, the only two Culture books that I still lack. Which city do you live in? The Borders here in Vegas have been sadly lacking those two titles.

They made it over here before. I already have copies of both of them. They've just been out of print for a while.

I'm in Orange County. You can always try to special order the books. If we have them in California, they can almost certainly be shipped to you in Las Vegas, probably even from the same distributor. It never hurts to ask, anyway.

Plus you might get to use a coupon.
