I'd appreciate any advice from the other players about how Darien comes across; while the the purity seals seemed like a good idea, after further consideration I'm not sure it's the kind of thing that would even cross the mind of a graduate of the Schola Progenium or a member of the Arbites. On the other hand, "hiding in plain sight" isn't exactly a new trick, and it's the kind of thing an Arbitrator might know to look out for. The question is whether or not a member of the Arbites would be willing to use such a trick himself.

There's certainly plenty of cunning among Arbities. There's even an investigator branch on their career tree.

Aww. Thy mentor is doubtless watching with interest from the well trained eye to see if anyone does anything to make him more at ease.Xenophobe3691 wrote:Just so you know, my guy is paranoid, void born, and doesn't know how to deal with so many people...
R.O.A. Send them to me via PM, or if it's a pdf, send it to necron (at) stardestroyer.net
And I'm afraid to say I think that's it for now; I think that's as many as we can really take (counting the various people who've posted intent in this thread, but not yet in the in-character thread, I'll write them in later) for one campaign.

I've already a mechanism for that. See, you're on a fast ship; anyone who doesn't make the meeting with Regis, will be told off, and put on normal commercial short-jump ships, and thus take days, weeks, months, years or lifetimes to catch up.Zablorg wrote:We could always go to a planet and pick you up short notice or something.

PS I had already PMed Duck, offering to help make her character via PM....
oh and Necron check your PM box, how's that for a detailed version of my back ground?
oh, and if you like you can use Pai as an NPC.

I'm working late shift today and tomorrow, so I won't be around for a while this afternoon. Consider it a relief from my character running his mouth. I'll hop on this evening and catch up; in the interim, assume my character is arranging his gear, getting on board ship, and playing "getting to know you" with the rest of the team.
Necronlord, I hadn't expected to be shuffled off-planet quite this fast, and my original intentions had been for my character to have left most of his gear locked up at the spaceport. I figured having a guy in Adeptus Arbites uniform with a shotgun show up at our contact's house wouldn't be a good idea, but under the circumstances, can we assume I brought my gear along in a duffel or something? I'm gonna be in sad shape trying to pass myself off as a Witch Hunter without any guns. I've got my armor on under my civvie clothes (yay for a mesh vest) and my brass knuckles and knife with me (yay for concealable weapons) but the shotgun isn't exactly low-profile.
On the other hand they're common as dirt, so I could probably draw one from the ship's stores without too much trouble along with ammunition.

Aye, I spotted this. Don't worry. It'll be on the big pile of stuff in the Lighter, along with anything else anyone has left around.Jaevric wrote:Necronlord, I hadn't expected to be shuffled off-planet quite this fast, and my original intentions had been for my character to have left most of his gear locked up at the spaceport.
As I recall, someone wanted another shotgun, too, which will be supplied later. On the other hand they're common as dirt, so I could probably draw one from the ship's stores without too much trouble along with ammunition.

Hesitating just before the door, he called out, "Last one up is Grox refuse!"
You just know he's getting an 'aww, kids' look there.

Arvus if anyone wants a reference. This one has extra seats, though.

...that makes me want to write a short of a Greater Daemon of Tzeentch named Murphy.

Ah, to reach the day where Mercurius can make full use of his abilities, levitating and throwing arcs of lightning like a proper War-Priest of Mars.
While I'm at it, would it be possible for the ceremonial axe-head on my Mechanicus staff to be upgraded with a mono-edge (changing the damage type from impact to rending), provided I can find a weaponsmith (or somebody in the group picks up the appropriate trade skill) somewhere along the way?

For my techpriest character elsewhere, I'm planning to move onto chain axe, and eventually power axe. Axes are good.
