Why is Rose in the trailer?

isn't she stuck in another dimension or something?

Yes, yes she is.
I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a "more convenient season."

S4 is RTD's last series. So he intends to make it as fankwanky as possible.

Dear fucking god... no more fucking romance plots! It was going to be great, a Doctor's assistant who wasn't going to get all soppy over him, an actual real friendship rather than 'I'm waiting for the perfect man, I let him go before...'. Strewth! Are these moronic writers incapable of doing anything other than making Rose Mk 2.0?

Also, the trailer managed to actually be completely bland and unexciting in my book. And if that spoiler of Dartzap's is accurate, I may end up just abandoning watching it and pretending that the new Dr Who series ended with Doomsday.

And leave Rose where she bloody is, for gods sake. We harassed enterprise for bringing back old characters when they were starting to slump, you can't put Rose beyond use only to bring her back when you start running out of plot ideas. And to borrow a starkism, it'll only be so we can have 'kerazzey lurv tryangl, am i rite?'

Was that a very Slimey Martha Jones before Rose showed up?

Not looking forward to this as much as I used to. Didn't think much of Voyage Of The Damned or Series 3. (Series, Dammit, not season. We're British) In fact the only think that I would really look forward to is a "Two Doctors" style thing with Eccleston. (or shalka doctor for surrealism)

The season final sounds far too crammed to me from what I can tell by the scant details (there are still too few plot details to say how good or bad it is, despite many characters and races coming back all at once). Most of Season Three was not genuinely bad, "Voyage of the Damned" was more satisfactory than "The Runaway Bride", but I get the impression that RTD is feeling the strain, and I do hope Catherine Tate does not pine for the Doctor outside that trailer clip of her (as the writers have promised).

PS - I've drifted away from Torchwood (despite allegations of improvement) and I wonder if the first season of The Sarah Jane Adventures is available on DVD.

I see UNIT blowing shit up in that trailer. They are probably the first line of defense against the Sontarans.

Super-spoiler (to some people at least) I hear Davros is back.

One thing I thought was interesting was I saw some Ood posessed by the original Ancient Evil from the satan pit, which can't be good.

That being said, can't the Doctor just hang out with some guy that won't fall in love with him?

Well, it's arguable as to whether Jack loved him, since his definition of Lust, love, and "Quick romp after naked hide & seek" are rather muddled :P .

Also, anyone thinking that they'll bring in another female companion who won't swoon around the doctor (After the second episode or so) is dreaming. Now excuse me, I'm trying to dream of an angst-less companion :x

To be fair, there's a way I'd really like to see her come back. If someone or something built whatever artifice the Time Lords used to allow people to undertake dimensional travel with ease, then she should be the Doctor's first and immediate destination.

I would prefer to see Rose back in a story entirely set in the parallel universe, where she meets the parallel Doctor.
How about her meeting McGann's Doctor, who in the course of the story dies and regenerates into Eccleston's Doctor? That could give Tennant a break.

I've never liked that danger music.

I've seen the long trailer already, I have to agree with Moose that it's not that interesting, but then I've learned not to expect these trailers to properly indicate what's going to happen in the series.

I hope to Huitzilopochtli that that first short Dartzap provided was a hoax to throw people off the scent or something. I strongly doubt it was, though, damn it all.

Reminds me of my idea for a comedy alternate ending to doomsday. Which is another Doctor (Richard E Grant) turning up, popping his head out of the tardis, "I've been told to find a Rose Tyler?"

Series Four premiere details confirmed.

We're delighted to officially announce that Series Four of Doctor Who will commence with Partners In Crime at 6.20pm on Saturday 05 April 2008, BBC One.

Tell all your friends, cancel any prior engagements and settle down for what promises to be the most spectacular series of Doctor Who yet!

As always, Doctor Who Confidential will be going behind-the-scenes with the cast and crew, starting at 7.05pm on BBC Three.

As always, we'll be supporting the show with extensive online coverage, both in the run up to and immediately after each episode.
Jolly good.....

I think I'll wait to see what the Rose angle is; it could be a flashback/dream sequence/hallucination, which is admittedly a cheap ploy to tempt people with the trailer, but still better than bringing her back from another universe.

It looks interesting, I can't wait for it...
Though I still think that it might be a bit demanding, writing-wise, to have this "three companion"-thing appear watchable. Bringing Rose back again, somehow, seems like a bad move to me, but we'll see...
