Other than that, it depends much on your taste. For example, I know a girl who avoids sci-fi like the plague no matter how good it is. (She prefers historical movies)

NEVER see Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever. It had lame action, bad acting, worse directing, and a shitty ending. It's perhaps the worst movie I've seen in 5 years.

I concur. Normally when I get a bad movie, I stick it out and give it a chance. Most of these movies are nothing, I've seen tripe that'll make crap look good. Mortal Kombat Annilation, Ravenous, now these are bad. But even them are nothing compared to the horror that is Troll 2 and Jack Frost (the killer snowman movie not the keaton kids movie which was bad but not killer snowman bad.)
