...and, i know jack about computers.
It was installing iTunes fine when it said that my "Windows Installer" (no idea what that is) is not...doing whatever it does. It says it cant access that service, or something, and that the Windows Installer may not be installed properly (not sure how that could happen).
Does anyone know what i should do? Pass some help my way? Anyone know if this is a bad sign or something?
So, i just bought an iPod...

Was the error something about IsScript not being up to date? I ran into an error like that when installing iTunes. Windows Installer is a service that manages installations, and the IsScript error looks to be something that's for InstallShield installations specifically(a vendor that can make Windows Installer installations).
If the error was something about IsScript, there's a Macrovision knowledge base article that I found that has several versions of IsScript in it. I just grabbed the latest one (IsScript11.zip) and followed the steps that I could. The next time I ran the iTunes setup, I didn't have any issues pop up.
