There's also the cryptic statements from Harry Reid to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, about how the situation is going to be handled. My read on it is that pretty soon Dean and the other party leaders are going to have a sit-down with Hillary Clinton and tell her to drop out of the race, because Obama has already beaten her and they won't have her stretching it out just to make the eventual nominee and the entire party look like shit with her death throes. Probably they'll tell her she's done, she and Bill have to dial back their public appearances until after November, and not one wrong note about the party or the candidate or they'll fuck her so hard in the committee seats that she won't know what hit her.
I certainly hope this is the case, but we'll have to see after April 22. If Clinton only pulls a close victory in Pennsylvania, then I can imagine this happening sometime in May, although it would be pretty tentative. God help us if she actually gets a strong victory in Pennsylvania; Dean and Co. would probably never work up the balls to say this to her.

Nothing would be more appropriate at this point.

Anyway, I think Einy would probably appreciate her sharing some of that obviously fine product she's smoking. :wtf: The pledged delegates are pledged for a reason.

Well, to be fair, it's been stated that neither of them, no matter the outcome of the remaining contests, will be able to win on pledged delegates alone. Both will need the help of superdelegates to win the nomination.
Yeah, but its impossible for her to win without the superdelegates overturning the pledged delegate count, the total popular vote, and the total states won. The superdelegates can give the de facto winner, Obama, the required delegate figure; but in Hillary's case they can only steal the election. Don't drink her kool-ade.

If Obama somehow loses this he should move up here to Canada and run for prime minister. I would vote for him

Stealing elections is what superdelegates are for; the whole reason the concept exists in the first place is to prevent "unelectable" people from achieving the nomination like McGovern did.

Which is complete horseshit, but hey, this is politics.
