Mm, hot Victorian ladies and also competent and ruthless, if a little jingoistic.

And bi.

It's amazing how Tosh manages to be incredibly boring even when she gets a story all to herself.

The others were fine. I like this vignette approach; you get drama, you get comedy, you get...well... Tosh, but it all sort of fits.

Jack's segment was either a great parody or the most unintentionally hilarious thing Torchwood's ever done. S&M lesbians? The thing that happened to his last team? Genius.

Also, the music seems more and more like John Powell's score to the Bourne movies.

UNIT now runs a Gitmo-but-worse into which it throws innocent people?

Once again I am back to the opinion that Russel T Davies must be flogged to death. That way he will be punished for this effort to rape my childhood.

Just started watching it. I enjoyed how they marked Jack's timeline as "1392 deaths ago". Hopefully the rest will be as amusing.

I found Owen's quite moving and probably the best after the hilarity of Jack's run in with the hawt Victorian agents of much kinkiness.

Y'know, I have one nagging complaint about this episode- Suzie. I don't need to see her backstory, but showing her being there would have been nice (Jack did mention her, so props for remembering her).

I didn't think Tosh or Ianto's flashbacks were done proper justice. Tosh needed a bit more follow-up at the least, and Ianto a bit more lead. Also how he managed to hide/ sneak/ care for his gal before getting into T3.

I'm also curious if they joined in the order shown, as well as what Suzie was doing before Torchwood, and what she did after.

I'd be surprised if that was any of RTD's doing. He seems to have a very small contribution to TW, he didn't write a single episode this season.

Wow, I phrased that badly. I meant what her specialty was/ why Jack recruited her. All we know from the first ep was that she was dicking with the first risenmitten and the knife, and 'they keep killing Suzie' didn't mention it as far as I recall.

I dunno... is the lag time for the US showing (tonight) too much and I'm necro'ing these threads, or should I just add on rather than starting another?

Definitely a downside to being immortal, as in undying, the really rather nasty opening it leaves for your enemies to torture you over and over and over...

Although the jilted lover thing... I dunno...

And was it just me, or was the fortune-telling girl in this episode the same one we saw earlier, in the one where Owen fights death? Do you think she's a zombie, too, or undying the way Jack is, or something else?

I can't imagine Rhys will be happy to find out that one of risks of Gwen's job is NOT dying when you should.

Silly Broomy, you don't need to make a new thread. Necro after a few weeks is fine when you have good cause for it.

I can't say I noticed the fortune teller being the same though. Will have to recheck sometime.

Ah, you see, I am a "reformed" rebel and "bad girl" - it is a constant effort to force myself to obey rules and ocassionaly I over-correct.

How many little Welsh girls reading tarot cards in a bar in Cardiff can there be?

Lots. It's Wales. It's like wandering into the Third World, far as I know.

Nice mountains and beaches, though.

At the moment, I'm tempted to say she's Hope, but I get the feeling she's something much more interesting.

Also, am I the only one who hears strains of the power rangers theme when they take a look at the 5 in a row shot with the torchies against a white background?

"Go go torchwood rangers! You mighty Rift patrollin' Torchwood rangers!"

No? Must be the insanity from listening to the full OST recently.
