Ugh. I'm quite fond of that museum, and it's rather disheartening to see it abused so by a couple of idiots with a gaggle of brainwashed children in tow. Still, the curator seems like a pretty cool dude, and I can hardly blame him for letting the tours continue.

I think the curator is quietly amused. I know if I was the curator, I let these tours go on as well. These idiots can preach their dumbass worldview and mock actual science all they wish. But those displays and fossil records are right there for those that can to read and study them. In a way, those kids are at least being exposed to the truth, whether their brain dead teachers or parents realize it or not. Something you couldn't do in their homeschooled "classrooms".Brother-Captain Gaius wrote:Ugh. I think the museum should officially label them "Little Mushroom Tours". You know how that goes - kept in the dark and fed bullshit.
I know that the museum can't ban them, and for good reason - but is there anything preventing the museum's employees from publicly pointing and laughing?

Ceci n'est pas une signature.
It shouldn't be too difficult to knock out a few "this causes problems for Biblically Correct Tours because..." plaques or signs around the place. That alone would be great.

If I lived in this area, and were to suddenly become a man of leisure, I would make it a hobby to follow these guys around on their tours, and point out their fallacies. If the tour operators are allowed unfettered access to the museum to spread lies and distortions, I couldn't see the museum having a problem with a counter-demonstration.
