Writing Dates in SW

Post by Dark Flame »

I'm reading through Bloodlines, and Traviss had a date in there. It was written with 4 numbers, not like our 3 (dd/mm/yy, or whatever order you want). Does anybody know why it has 4 numbers and not just 3?

Here it is, page 195:
Last inspected 6/8/1/36.
"Have you ever been fucked in the ass? because if you have you will understand why we have that philosophy"
- Alyrium Denryle, on HAB's policy of "Too much is almost enough"

"The jacketed ones are, but we're talking carefully-placed shits here. "-out of context, by Stuart

Lack of proper research. It is well established that the standard calendar is divided into days, months, and years.
