These are the people I look to when I think of a noble sacrifice greater than the so called huge sacrifice Jesus made for everyone. Seriously, anyone who does this either are reacting on gut instinct, care about their buddies lives more than their own, or just have balls of steel.
Doesn't matter if this guy had a rucksack between him and the grenade. It sure as hell doesn't matter if he survived. Give the man the highest honor.
Grenade + Royal Marine = BMFOTW

Unbelievable. No question, he gets the BMFOTW. (Are we keeping track of who gets these and recounting them at year's end or what?)
Anyways, that he survived by falling rucksack-first on the grenade gets me to thinking; if we start designing grenades to have less blasting power and rely more on shrapnel spread to do the dirty work, could more soldiers feasibly pull this kind of stunt and save their fellows? As long as the jihadis don't take to wearing heavy armor that typically only western nations are privy to, I'd say their efficiency wouldn't diminish against them.
Feasible, or am I totally out to lunch?
