My Current desktop. I've had that one so long, that picture was captured when i still had dial-up!

The picture that I used (with the artists credit).

The desktop picture before the current one. The one before that (I flipped the pic so i could have my Icons down the Left as usual). Then there were the two Patlabor wallpapers before that here and here.

In fact I like Patlabor so much, I almost used an Alphonse Avatar when I joined here instead of the Rogue trooper one, but couldn't make my mind up between this, this or this.

Took this picture back in '96 sitting in a plane waiting, and waiting, and waiting some more for the damn thing to take off. Turns out the backup radio blew out and they couldn't take off without getting it fixed.

Cool desktop photo. I also like the sheer number of SW icons that you have.

The various Alphonse pictures you considered for an avatar are good too, especially the sock pupet.

Paintings are more personal than CG, because it has more soul, due to the effort, care, and skill put into it by the artist. CG has little soul in it, and it's rare that it has enough to compare to something made by hand.

Actually, now that I think about it, I think I might know who painted it: Hajime Katoki.

Eh. I don't agree. I've seen modelmakers in action and they put just as much thought and attention into their model as painters do into their artwork.

But it's a really excellant painting.

You should see the number I haven't used. Very few people notice the background detail on that picture.

*sigh* everyone loves the puppet one, yet the one I slaved over (chibi Alphonse with the pistol is from a very complicated picture, and I had hell's delight getting rid of all the details around it, without erasing Alphonse himself) and love the most gets a very mild reaction from people.

I took the screenshot days before I even posted it here when there was a thread just like this at spacebattles. Also there was some thread there that had a link to a site with BOATLOADS of chick pictures and I was checking it out when I took the shot.

Got it from http://www.animewallpapers.com DAMN good place for anime backgrounds. Just look under the second page of the Love Hina section. You may find a different one you like better since there are tons of good ones.
