On the positive side, maybe we'll see less rampant obesity in our fat-ass first-world western countries. I know people will say that crap food costs less than high-quality food, but you can't hit 300 lbs even on low-quality food unless you gorge yourself on it.

Depends on what type of food too, and even then, the US isn't going to starve, not with their economic clout still. The places that do need a better, refined diet, are also, coincidentally, the places that have the most money.
