[Vote] Title Poll for Brianeyci
Allright. There is a motion on the floor and there are several people very clearly in favour some who are clearly oppossed. That said we can continue to hash things out in the discussion thread or we can put the matter to a vote and close it out one way or another.
That being said I would strongly recommend that everyone review the [Discussion] thread, obviously I can't make you but this is probably one of the more contested votes I've yet posted so it is highly encouraged. In advance a reminder this is a Title vote and therefore group B so majority is required plus a quorum of 40% (20 votes). The vote, as always, shall last 7 days.

"I put no stock in religion. By the word religion I have seen the lunacy of fanatics of every denomination be called the will of god. I have seen too much religion in the eyes of too many murderers. Holiness is in right action, and courage on behalf of those who cannot defend themselves, and goodness. "

I obviously voted no:
- As Broomstick said basically, it amounts to little more than an impotent gesture, and therefore is meaningless. With him "gone" a ban of some kind would have made more sense, since at least it corrects things. A title he may not even know anythign about corrects nothing.
- As I said, I smell Vendetta. Its rather obvious that some people don't like him. and I don't have any problem with them hating him, or mocking him, or calling him an idiot. I DO have a problem with being used as an instrument of that vendetta. Especially when I have to do a buttload of research just to determine what the fuck he did to begin with.
- As above, I don't feel an adequate job was done of actually proving any of the accusations brought forth about him. Having to dig through that, as well as not understanding what people THOUGHT were his specific violations, made the job more difficult. On that basis, and from what I saw, I see no reason to punish him simply because he's idiotic. Again, as Broomstick said, he doesnt seem malicious.
- We can table the motion on dealing with him for a future date, if he does return. At least hten we have a valid reason for dealing with him.

Honestly, if this was somehow the last camel straw, we should've wrung up Axis Kast long fucking ago. That and as it has been pointed out? He's not here. We could have get rid of his priviliges and really no more effective then doing it to Duchess' account when she wasn't here. What are they going to give a fuck about it at the time. And when they come back, some admin will likely revert it to pre fucked state because the punishment was useless at the future point.

Voted no. Other Senators have already detailed the reasons to vote so.

Voted--in favour, as a general expression of my disapproval with his behaviour, though I am not entirely sure if the vote should be held at all (I did not support it at that point), but, with the vote being held anyway, I want him VI'd.

I have voted.
A Government founded upon justice, and recognizing the equal rights of all men; claiming higher authority for existence, or sanction for its laws, that nature, reason, and the regularly ascertained will of the people; steadily refusing to put its sword and purse in the service of any religious creed or family is a standing offense to most of the Governments of the world, and to some narrow and bigoted people among ourselves.

Now I did a job. I got nothing but trouble since I did it, not to mention more than a few unkind words as regard to my character so let me make this abundantly clear. I do the job. And then I get paid.- Malcolm Reynolds, Captain of Serenity, which sums up my feelings regarding the lawsuit discussed here.

They say, "the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots." I suppose it never occurred to them that they are the tyrants, not the patriots. Those weapons are not being used to fight some kind of tyranny; they are bringing them to an event where people are getting together to talk. -Mike Wong
But as far as board culture in general, I do think that young male overaggression is a contributing factor to the general atmosphere of hostility. It's not SOS and the Mess throwing hand grenades all over the forum- Red

El-Abstaino-vote-o. Explanation in the [Discussion] thread re. m'sieu braineyci...
Something about Libertarianism always bothered me. Then one day, I realized what it was:
Libertarian philosophy can be boiled down to the phrase, "Work Will Make You Free."
In Libertarianism, there is no Government, so the Bosses are free to exploit the Workers.
In Communism, there is no Government, so the Workers are free to exploit the Bosses.
So in Libertarianism, man exploits man, but in Communism, its the other way around!
If all you want to do is have some harmless, mindless fun, go H3RE INST3ADZ0RZ!!
Grrr! Fight my Brute, you pansy!

Pain, or damage, don't end the world, or despair, or fuckin' beatin's. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, ya got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man ... and give some back.
