Aside from not bothering to show up, I can't fathom how one fails at this sort of thing.
As a minor aside, my high-school's TV production program (which was an elective/club) actually had performance metrics and people could and did fail if they were being lazy slackers.

Well, "lazy slackers" sounds to me like a flavor of "not showing up..."

Well, it was more a "show up, don't do much work compared to everyone else" thing, and since it was also an after-school club it demanded much work.

I meant, garnish the mother's and daughter's welfare payments, assuming they collect welfare, which somehow does not seem totally out of the realm of possibility, here.
And what I said still applies. There's no way the welfare payments would be high enough to compensate for what Workman's Comp would cut out. Believe me, it's shit.

Well - and this is just me admitting to my own malice, here - it's more about the mother and daughter losing money, than about how much money their victim would gain.

When I saw the thread title, my first thought was the attackers were pissed at their biology teacher over evolution.

But I'll throw my voice in with every one else and express my shock that this bitch is still allowed in the school.

Sounds like my 6th period which consists of show up to you can skip class and show up before the end of the period and the teacher doesn't care, go on the computer and play games (which is what I do), sit down and have beyond inappropriate conversation which the teacher sometimes participates in (I should not the details of what happened the night my teacher's daughter was concieved), or even pull your friends out of class and just have them in the classroom all period. You are only required to do like two (not exaggerating) assignments per quarter. I'm going to miss that class next year.

I figure you're referring to the class mentioned in the news article? Most TV Production electives are probably like that, yeah.

I'm not, I have Journalism. Other school have cranked out about 6-7 newspapers already and we have done 1 so far and that was in October (I think). It pretty much went the exactly the same last year. Don't get me wrong I like the perks of the class it's just the people. I'm not taking the class next year because the two seniors that I actually liked in the class are graduating. One of the guys is going to another school and the other is just qutting. So that would leave me with 8 girls next year two of which that actually like me. One of the seniors in the class last year actually gave me a heads up about this I should have listened to him and just taken Creative Writing (which is now being taught by my favorite teacher).

Damn. I pity you. Our Journalism class actually manages to accomplish what passes for, you know, Journalism. :P

Brilliant.
Never mind her, what about the rest of the student body?

"Is your teacher failing you? Than just beat her up and the District won't do jack against you!"

And unless they charge her as an adult, those juvie charges get sealed on her 18th birthday anyway. So I doubt she'll care. AFAIK only real heavy duty stuff (like going for a Top Secret security clearance, law enforcement background checks, etc) will actually turn juvie records up.

Which means that this is not even a slap on the wrist - this piece of teacher-beating trash will never rise up high enough to need any security check more strenuous than a piss-test for a job at Wal-Mart.

I guess we can just regard the remainder of her life as punishment for her transgressions, if it makes us feel better...

What? Just because the person chose an ethnic (in this case African) name doesn't automatically mean that they are ghetto as fuck. Though I admit there can be a correlation.

One of our lead actresses is named "Essence."

I keep having to choke back the impulse to ask her, essence of what?

I wonder if this girl is in the ESE/Special Ed. program. I know in Florida ESE students can only be suspended out of school for a total of 10 days per semester/15 days per year. I've run into this several times when I had ESE students who were about to be expelled. If they've already hit their out of school limit we had to hold them in ISS until their expulsion meeting (usually we had to give at least two weeks notice for those meetings.)

In any case, if she's actually being allowed to attend her regular classes then the administration are fucking idiots. They've just managed to teach their students that it's OK to beat the shit out of a teacher if you don't like your grade, and there will be no serious repurcussions.
Clever and witty signature to be inserted here, just as soon as I think of one.
