I agree. Fucking whiners - you gotta earn a nation, and fight for it. Or negotiate for it.

I'm sick of all these whiny fucks complaining about how the campaigns are playing "negative" and "not sticking on the issues." I don't blame the campaigns - I blame you. If you hate it so badly, don't fucking watch it. If ABC/CNN/Fox/MSNBC host debates where they pull all of this trivial, gossipy bullshit and their ratings actually decline rather than skyrocket for once, then they'll stop doing it.

Discussing various methods of solving problems, some of my friends noted that if you're with SAC, the solution is always nuclear. If you've got a hammer, etc. My personal contribution was noting that if you're with the Nazis, the solution is always final. Because Holocaust humor is always good.

On the subject of Fairy Tales:

me: you ever notice how they always marry Prince Charming?
co-worker: so it just must be that it's a big family, or a generic term.
Me: I always thought he was a mormon, moslim or maybe like bluebeard or henry VIII, and has a whole harem of them prisoner.

In honor of the passing of George Carlin, a joke he told at the show in Atlantic City last July:

Q: How does a girl from the Ozarks know her mom is on the rag?
A: Her brother's dick tastes funny!

So, a quarter of the United States is under water, and the other quarter is on fire. It's now officially the height of the summer.

BBC 1 and Channel 4 are running some sort of depressing "yoof gang gun crime" thing tonight, and to be entirely honest, to me it just seems that they're all thick cunts that deserve to get shot. All the family members etc I have sympathy for, as well as obviously the people who get shot merely for being in the wrong place, but the gang members? Goddamn, what a bunch of retards. They spend all their time smoking weed and then go beat people up for no reason beyond "it's their turf".

One even said he didn't know why he'd die for his turf, just that he would. The music and the rest of it informs me I should be sad when some overly aggressive 14 year old gets shot, but I just don't. They're cocks.

It just occurred to me that, if you apply a certain twisted species of logic, it makes sense for homophobes to support gay marriage. After all, if the gays are stuck in holy wedlock, they won't be able to ravish and spoil our good clean Christian folk, which will overall be superior to leaving them free to roam, sodomize, and ravish as they please.

The drought is an evil media myth to distract us, the western states, from the fact that Las Vegas, the hottest, dryest city, has lush golf courses and fountains on all buildings.

Right Wingers, please learn what the fuck you're talking about. If you compare John McCain to Sir Alec Guiness' character in Bridge Over River Kwaii, It Is Not A Compliment. If you dare bring up the term 'Manchurian Candidate', you should probably be at least sufficiently self-aware that McCain pretty much lived the plot and is now in the part where he's about to get to the position to do the most damage.

fundy at work: (some long diatribe indluding the phrase "Christ the Warrior King", "America the chosen land of the Warrior King Christ" and other bits)
Orthodox Co-worker: Christ the Warrior King? just what copy of the bible have you been reading?
Hispanic Catholic Co-worker: That doesn't sound like Christ
Fundy: "I come bearing a sword"

Hispanic coworker and colin: Jesus of Cimmeria
everyone but the fundy: Christ the Barbarian.

I think people who whinge about fatness of any kind are predominantly hypocritical morons and often pick on moderately overweight people making a serious effort to trim down (like me) and lump them in (pun unintended) with the morbidly obese who are in much worse shape and have no intention of retaining a more normal body shape. I think the obsession with fatness and getting slim probably caused as many health problems as obesity itself.

It occurred to me walking home from work that people's attitudes on guns and sex are frequently reversed depending on where they are relative to center.

Far Right
Abstinence-only birth control, no homosexuality, and no methods for safe sex.
2nd Amendment! Anybody who can hold a gun has the right to whatever gun they want.

Far Left
Sex ed all the way, have whatever freaky monkey sex you feel like, preferably with birth control.
Gun control! No guns for anybody, and no gun safety training.

I'm not going to say either side is wrong, I don't want a debate, and this isn't entirely accurate. It's still a helluva coincidence, like having an insurance agency next to a hospital.

I must have read "Bennigan's goes under" 2 or 3 times as "Brannigan goes under".

All wondering if there's a Futurama I missed somewhere.

From my experience smokers are all uniformally spineless whingers and hypocrites (and this includes former friends and my parents). I had a so-called friend who smoked like a chimney whinge at me for smelling like cigarettes.

How dare you utter such a vile slander?! Clearly, the real problem lies with the Upper River States, who won't generously share their water with the greater populations southward even if it destroys the river. It's time to use economic pressure, rhetoric, and possibly a military coup to make those damn Utah and Colorado bastards accept Water Freedom!
