As concerning Bernd's email, I will leave that between you two. First off, it is none of my business. Secondly, I could not say anything concerning it that you 1) don't already know 2)haven't already heard. I agree, some remarks he made were uncalled for, but, I am going to stay out of the personal conflict between the two of you, as apparently, the conflict between you and Bernd goes alot deeper than our two boards, and has been going on alot longer than I have even been a member of SCN.

I am only a 'newbie' moderator, and this is only the 1st month I have even been a moderator, and I don't think I have the status to speak for the entire board.

As stated before, I am truly sorry for my own past actions. That is all I can do, and the most sincere I can possibly be. I don't believe that you would want to be held responsible for apologizing for anything your board members might do, just as I cannot be responsible for the actions of our other board members or apologize for them. That is something that they must do on their own volition, otherwise, as you stated, it would truly NOT be sincere if they were forced into apologizing or if someone apologized for them.

At this point, I am only trying to make peace between our respective forums. If that is not possible by me, then I would like to attempt to at least make amends between ME and SDnet forums.

What say you? Do we accept this apology? I am inclined to say yes.

Yes. Of course we accept this apology. As he said, he doesn't speak for the whole of the EAS forum, but to refuse a sincere attempt at peace is to foolishly cripple ourselves, and I believe quite strongly that Mr. Utvol is telling the truth.

Actually I don't know if he said "but", I'm kinda guessing. I mean, I would have to read it several times to be sure it doesn't have a "but".

Once someone sent me a mail and told me to count all the T's or E's, I don't remember which... it's hard

Anyway, I hope it's sincere, didn't seem to have any backhanded or whatever it is you English-speaking people call it. I think we can accept it.

He did, but it's an acceptable "but", one that is pleasing to the eye, really. It's the kind of "but" you could bring home to show your sainted mother. It's the kind of "but" some people spend their whole lives looking for, searching, only never to recieve until they're face down in a gutter outside of a bar in Guatemala. When it's already too late for the play-by-play rerun of your life because you're unconcious from the booze and the beating the bouncer gave you. When you feel the icy chill of death twisting up your guts and the tire treads of a stolen SUV leaving their imprint on your soon to be lifeless body. Then, some people, the fortunate few quadrillionths of a percent who are lucky enough to regain conciousness for that brief moment between their passing from this world and the next, they are graced with that which they have search for so long to find...

It's just that kind of "but"...and here it is, right in front of us. We get to see it like few have ever seen it before, as a gift.

But yeah, Ctrl-F is ur friend...

I would be glad to see the end of the feud, simply because it acheives nothing as things stand at the moment.

He evidently came to like this forum and made an acceptable apology for his past slandering. I say accept it. And let him have his USAF av and sig, since is obvious he uses them proudly.

I would be inclined to think that he honestly doesn't want to fight anymore, and even if he's not truly sorry I think it's a decent show of humility for him to come forth and at least say that he's sorry he started and was a part of the dung-flinging.

Very well written NF_Utvol. I certainly have to recomend accepting the apology. With that done, it does show you in a better light and people will be more willing to listen to you. However that doesn't mean they will agree with you. But making the distinction between the two is important.
