Gentlepersons, this Travissty cannot be allowed to remain on (or in) the books. We must create an alternative series, showing Star Wars as it should have been. Who would be willing to assist me with this?

No, seriously. Something must be done about this.
Conversion Table:

2000 Mockingbirds = 2 Kilomockingbirds
Basic Unit of Laryngitis = 1 Hoarsepower
453.6 Graham Crackers = 1 Pound Cake
1 Kilogram of Falling Figs - 1 Fig Newton
Time Between Slipping on a Banana Peel and Smacking the Pavement = 1 Bananosecond
Half of a Large Intestine = 1 Semicolon

I am afraid I am not a very good writer, but perhaps I could contribute ideas?

If there is anything that can be done, I am in favour of such action.

Precisely. I'll start a thread in FF for ideas and stuff.

Wouldn't Joruus C'Boath qualify as a clone Emperor under Thrawn's "shogunate"?

How was C'boath an Emperor? He just bullshitted to himself and had no official authority whatsoever. The "Emperor" to Thrawn's shogun was the regency by the Emperor's Ruling Circle, for whom on paper, anyway, Thrawn merely served as master of war.

However, Thrawn actually said, "I rule the Empire now. Not some long dead Emperor."

He certainly seemed to consider himself the de facto heir to the Empire. Are you going to flame me now? :)

Oh he can die. But Thrawn lives at Bilbringi.

And since we're rewriting the post-RotJ EU, I'll just happily declare Thrawn the new Dictator of the Galactic Empire. So there. :P

Thrawn fanboy wank for teh win!

I would still want Palpatine around. He is the best Star Wars villain in history, especially if one writes him as less retarded than in the Dark Empire series. Thrawn can still be a Grand Admiral.

Yeah, we just have to put Publius in charge of writing him. Its amazing what he did with Dark Empire in The Test of Wills.

My stance was that C'Boath would be the figurehead emperor to Thrawn's shogun. I did not mean to imply that C'Boath would have any authority, since it was clear from the novels that Thrawn was not planning on giving him any actual power. The relationship between Thrawn and C'Boath, a kind of temporal and spiritual divide of power, struck me as reminiscent of the shogun/emperor relationship of Japan.

My point, I suppose, was that, at least in title, C'Boath would have been the Emperor, wouldn't he, under Thrawn's regime?

I would have enjoyed a showdown between Thrawn and Daala. Or a complete ignoring of Daala all together.

I would have enjoyed Thrawn bending her over and giving Daala his blue steel, Tarkin-style.

Wouldn't that just perpetuate the problem that has always been Daala? At least have Thrawn demote her first.

I keep hearing about that story, but sadly it is not available at Domus Publica. Has Publius withdrawn it? If not, can anyone please point me to where I can find it?

Have her thrown into a Sarlacc! Or eaten by a Yuzzem! Or just plain shot, as long as we get rid of her!

You know, I'd prefer if Daala and the Suncrusher were abandoned, but I don't know how what part of the EU is going to be preserved in this project.

Me, I guess I really am a hyperinclusionist. I want everything in. (Admittedly with the chance to give the very most retarded crap its just desserts being the main motivator in several cases...)

Ok, you want a really way out mindfuck for the new EU? Palpatine "creates" another apprentice, like he did with Anakin. In DE, Luke will find Palpatine with a young boy...

Oh..that sounds bad...

Anyway, yes. Palpatine puts some midiclorians in his Sith blender and creates another apprentice. Does Luke try to train the young boy to be on the Light Side, or oes the boy get away to grow up and become another Anakin/Emperor?

And very seriously, here's my revamp of the EU:

Only authorized MOVIES/CARTOONS/NOVELS/NOVELIZATIONS will be allowed to perpetuate the EU. No fucking comics, games, toys, amusement park rides, Underoos, C-3P0 cereal, etc.

Completely DROP the SW Holiday special from existence, and make a NEW one. Make it a cartoon like the new Clone Wars series, and simply use Ford's Hamill's, and Fisher's voices. Life Day can be kept, but wookiees should NOT be wearing red Catholic robes! It's allegedly an ancient ritual, so why the hell would aboriginal primates be wearing robes?

The Imperial Reminant WILL have a working, Death Star. With no stupid Achilles Heel, either. Basically, they'll divide the Galaxy, and tell the New Republic to stay the fuck out of their space. If a new Emperor comes along and wants to use this new Empire to take over the galaxy again...oh well.

Boba Fett lives. Because, it will be establised that the Boba Fett that we saw in ROTJ was an imposter. Really, why would the Greatest Bounty Hunter In The Galaxy be hanging out with Jabba waiting for scraps? Wouldn't he have contracts all over the galaxy? So many he couldn't possibly answer them all? And, its the only way to explain his extremely poor performance in ROTJ. As I've said before, Jabba had one of his stooges stand around in Fett's armor for the prestiege. "Hey lookey me! I have the 'Greatest Bounty Hunter In The Galaxy' at my beck and call!

Han Solo will become one of the New Republic's greatest generals. He got a taste of it in ROTJ, and was in the Imperial Navy before he got kicked out. Maybe he'll be in command of his own Star Destroyer, and have the Falcon in a side hangar as he restores it during his down time. Chewie is still Second In Command! Leia becomes the new leader of the New Republic. Luke re-opens the Jedi Temple, and learns its secrets, and begins searching for Jedi who have survived Order 66, and was in hiding as Yoda was.

Mace Windu is alive. He will be as Yoda was in Luke's new Jedi Order.

Sidious didn't create Anakin, that was just Wookiee-variety fanon. Haha, I just got your joke, lol. That's a good impression of the average fanwanker, Wayne.

Twas no joke. Sidious did create Anakin, before Lucas took that out of the script.

Yeah, and we're supposed to uh, ignore the fact he chose not to have that in the script? Fanon. He specifically states on multiple occassions IN CANON only "one" knew the power but he was sure that together "they would" be able to "discover" the secret.

I thought that was in reference to attaining immortality, not creating life?
