What gets me is these little teenage fuckheads took the time, energy, know-how, and other resources to essentially invent (or repurpose something, probably some into) a FLOWABLE LIQUID FUEL-AIR EXPLOSIVE. Holy fucking shit.Gang of girls 'blew up house with home-made bomb over row about boy'

A gang of teenage girls may have blown up a house with a home-made liquid bomb, which killed a man in a neighbouring property, after arguing with another girl about a love rival.
Purple liquid was poured through the letterbox of the Victorian house before the an explosion destroyed three houses.
Their intended victim, Charlotte Anderson, was caught in the blast and was rushed to intensive care suffering with severe burns.
Ten hours earlier Miss Anderson had phoned police to say a gang of girls aged 16 and 17 was causing trouble outside her home, in Harrow. They were directing abuse, about a boy, at Miss Anderson's ground floor flat.

Devastation: Three houses weer destroyed in the blast, and one man was killed
Witnesses said they saw someone pouring a "purple, smelly liquid" through the letterbox of the house.
Experts say the liquid could have vaporized and caused the explosion, which killed Emad Qureshi, 26, who was at home with his parents in a neighbouring house at the time of the blast.
He was crushed to death by falling rubble.
Miss Anderson was pulled from her wrecked flat by a neighbour and she was rushed to hospital, where her condition was described as "non life-threatening".

Explosion: The massive blast destroyed three houses
Scotland Yard launched a murder investigation and is hunting the girl gang.
A police source said the liquid could have been made using a "recipe" found on the internet
DCI Colin Sutton said: "Our major line of inquiry is that this liquid caused the explosion and that the explosion was an attempt to murder this young woman."
Police originally thought the devastating explosion had been caused by a gas leak, a theory which has now been played down.
DCI Sutton said: "We still haven't ruled out a gas explosion but experts say it is unlikely to be the cause. What we can say is that we are happy there is no link to any terrorist organisation or acts here.
"A strong line of inquiry for us at the moment is the dispute, this call at the address and of course the substance that was put through the letterbox."
Investigators initially believed the explosion was caused by a gas leak but now say it could have been started deliberately

Throw the book at these cunts. They have murdered an innocent and destroyed a house over the stupidest of things. Charge these unfeeling assdirthumpers with murder, conspiracy to commit murder, destruction of property, assault causing bodily harm, and anything else to ensure that these monsters who are clearly too dangerous for real society are locked away from anyone else permanenty.

I'm... kind of impressed. That's a hell of an improvised bomb. Shame the bitches need to go to the hole for the rest of their lives rather than using the knowledge to do something useful.

What the fuck did they make?
I find it hard to believe that recipes for explosives of this magnitude are freely available on the net outside of places that would have very boring looking men in grey suits watching them every hour of the day. I find it even harder to believe that your average Joe or Jane would actually be able to gather the sort of stuff you'd need to do this. It's not like this was mixing sugar and vasaline or something that simple.

It wouldn't be too hard if it was fertilizer based. If one of their parents worked in an industry where they had access to fertilizer in a shed or storage, then it isn't exactly inconceivable.Psychic_Sandwich wrote:What the fuck did they make?![]()

What the hell did they make? Wonder how great a volume of liquid they needed to get the job done - maybe the paranoia bout carrying liquids onto airplanes isn't so bizarre after all...
Ya know, it almost would have been better if they'd used a gun - less likely to kill people in adjacent structures (even if still possible) and a HELL of a lot less property damage.

Where is the letterbox of a house typically located? Is it on the outside walls, or does it go into the inside of the house?
In any case, I'll admit to being very impressed also. Makes you really wonder what kind of people these girls are.

That may be it... Likely I'd imagine they wanted to inflict some sort of property damage as a warning...Fire Fly wrote:Hmm, the only purple-like stuff that I know is explosive is nitrogen triiodide (which can be made with household items) but that stuff is pretty volatile. The compound would have to be kept wet to be able to deliver it and you would need a huge amount to cause the kind of damage from the photo.
And then it maybe did rupture a gas line like someone else said...

I have looked over this report and I cant see a location for where it occured...?
Regardless, this is exceptionally stupid and impressive at the same time. The one thing I am curious about though is what they used. It says they 'poured' something through the letter box and then... what ?
It never said if the blast was instant or time passed. I imagine the former is more likely since the people in the house should logically smell / see / hear someone at their front door. Especially if 'witnesses' are able to smell it.
To be honest, I find the idea of a teenage gang intentionally creating a bomb on this scale to be questionable. I suspect it might have been an accident either from the gang not knowing what they were using to the owners doing something which reacted badly with the liquid. Should that be wrong however, these girls need to be promptly locked away. Even if it was an accident, they STILL need to be locked away unless it is 100% proven what they did had nothing to do with this.
Will the people who lived in these houses get new places to stay or have they effectively been rendered homeless ?

You don't know anything about how the law works do you? 100% proof is never necessary, only proof beyond a reasonable doubt. As it is there's likely more than sufficient evidence to prove that they did this. As for whether or not it went off by accident, who cares? The fact that they went through the trouble of setting it up shows they intended to use it.PREDATOR490 wrote: To be honest, I find the idea of a teenage gang intentionally creating a bomb on this scale to be questionable. As for the bomb itself. . .it really is stupidly simple to figure out how to make homemade explosives capable of doing a massive amount of damage. The tricky part is getting ahold of the supplies needed. Although if they don't know what they're doing there's an equal chance of blowing themselves away while they try making it.
Why would they? Shit happens and unless they're insured very well then chances are these cunts just fucked the people in those homes over for a very long time. Will the people who lived in these houses get new places to stay or have they effectively been rendered homeless ?

I think Ein might be right, it looks like, intentionally or not, that was a fuel-air explosive. Those things are pretty good at blasting structures like that.
I must say I'm both shocked and impressed at the amount of damage they were able to cause. Two houses completely demolished, and a third half collapsed and gutted. While that one guy's death is itself very unfortunate, I think it very fortunate that it was only him.

I'm not. Anyone with an internet connection can build something explosive. Building a bomb from raw ingredients that can be effectively used as a weapon is an entirely different game.Gil Hamilton wrote:I'm... kind of impressed.
