Yeah, specifically because of the extreme fire danger from a plastic warship, did you see the part in which they say a jet fuel fire will ignite the laminated hull within 1 minute? That active system is required simply for safety against landing accidents, it doesn’t have any real bearing on a fire anywhere else in the ship.

The Norwegian minehunter KNM Orkla had her fire start in the engine room. The bridge had to be abandon IIRC after just seven minutes, and the ship was abandon soon after. Extensive firefighting efforts from nearby ships failed to save her, sure burned until the fire let in water and then sank. Couple pictures, notice you can clearly see in one how large chunks of superstructure are just gone, burned away.

Yeah, steel is cheap… building a small ship that’s purely a slow going minehunter out of plastic makes sense, you don’t expect it to survive any damage and its non-magnetic, but corvettes are big enough to try to be real warships.

I guess I have to add an addendum saying the ship is made of steel and thus its stealth qualities are more akin to that of a Lafayette frigate.

The hull will be demagnetized of course, for passive defensive measures anyhow.

EDIT: If I'm wrong I'll just retcon my post. But I figure if they are doing that, with our CAPs and everything we're bound to notice and wonder why you're sending a container ship out to the middle of nowhere.

Oh, and since I sent my AWACs out there, is that maritime patrol plane still with them?

Yes its heading west, which is the direction of Saddams remote island missile test base, the official destination of the ship. Any claim the ship is actually heading directly for extremely deep water is total nonsense of course.

Note the BR does a LOT of construction with Plastics (from vegitable matter or oil) and with Aluminum.

I actually declared my main resources at the start, unlike all of you incompetents

Main exports: Bauxites (Alluminium ores) and iron

Minor exports: Coal, copper, uranium, oil

Other resources exist in small amounts, but are not exported

I technically am not a signatory of the airship association, but since I have my own airline, I won't stop your airships from landing at my main airport.

As far as Alexander's supply situation goes, I figure the road network leaves much to be desired and he just doesn't have much arable land. I've been going on the asumption that ships heavily escorted by security personnel can dock, but distribution is the problem. Plus for a while most people ignored Alexander, so not much aid was being sent. A major priority would be road construction along with railroads. Until then aircraft may be the only way to go to the most remote survivalist areas.

Yes well, we'll be sending in aid shipments soon. Hopefully with six carrier groups in the area, the various bandits will decide that messing with food and medicine crates with a big ol' "MESS" stamped on them would be a Bad Thing.

Anyway, if the Conference agrees that the warlords are allowed to seek military aid, I think we can send advisors to Alexander to assist him and ProTec in training and professionalizing his force. As well as providing small arms, personal equipment, comms, light vehicles, and possibly light observation and transport aircraft.

We'll work with him first because he's actually responded to our offers. We'll work with Ramsley as well, if he'd ever talk to us... *throws a rock in Stas' general direction* As for the Sultan, well hopefully we can decide on what to do about that civil war.

Well about that airline, it will be called Libertia Air, and will run regularly scheduled flights into and through Alexander's territory at the moment, with service with other states in Libertopia dependent on what they say on the matter. It is being formed by a combination of private investors, with ProTec being a strong corporate partner. Main airplane will be an AN-22. This is not a luxury airliner at the moment. They would also like to purchase a few AN-114s or Il-76's, whichever is cheaper, for really heavy lifting. An-26's could be good for light use.

For Helicopters, Mi-26's for running supplies into the mountains.

right now the airline is looking to buy from Stats, as he has told me what he has up for sale. I'd also be wlling to buy surplus from others. The actual numbers I'm not so sure of, as I am not an airline man, so I don't know what would be needed.

On another note, ProTec is looking for aircraft as well. They would like to purchase around six AN-22's, if possible as well as around four Mi-28 attack helicopters. I would also be particularly interested in some more general use helicopters, such as UH-1Y Venom style Huey, which some of the players may have floating around, especially if they've upgraded their fleet.
