The Shinra Republic has announced today that it has sold nine surplus F/A-18E aircraft to the Shadow Empire for an undisclosed sum. They have also announced that military advisors will be dispatched to help train the new Shadow Empire officer corps. A similar program was instituted with the Duchy of Baerne after rogue elements temporarily ordered an attack against Terra Libertia.

While your rage at the recent devastation must be terrible, a complete purge of your nation's officer corps is not the answer. Take the time to ascertain guilt or innocence before an execution. We are willing to maintain a regiment in the Shadow Empire for purposes of security, if you so desire.

Sarajevo, Shadow Empire-First Amphibious Regiment Headquarters

According to a statement released today by the Ministry of War, the First Amphibious Regiment will be staying on in the Shadow Empire to provide added security for the nation as the purges take place. It is expected to remain in the Shadow Empire for several months at the very least.

The First Amphibious has long been regarded as the premier Army unit in Baerne, having taken part in the New Gottland Insurrection, the internal disturbances, and now the Shadow Revolt.
