Agent 47 vs. Todd

Post by Enigma »

Who would win between them? Would it be Agent 47 from the Hitman games and movie or Kurt Russell's Todd from Soldier.

1) Unarmed combat
2) Melee wepons
3) Firearms
4) Free for all

Who'd be the emotionless victor?

Todd.

Agent 47 did not have the physical capacity that the soldiers did in that movie.

I second Todd, for his skill in setting up booby-traps and ambushes.
Please do not make Americans fight giant monsters.

Those gun nuts do not understand the meaning of "overkill," and will simply use weapon after weapon of mass destruction (WMD) until the monster is dead, or until they run out of weapons.

They have more WMD than there are monsters for us to fight. (More insanity here.)

Todd. The dude kills fucking Replicants with the ease of a Vietnam-vet killing redneck cops, Viet Cong, Soviet Russians, and Burmans. The guy's a Space Rambo.

Agent 47 might do a walkthrough with modern-day incompetent homo sapiens, but Todd's been to the fuckin' Tannhauser Gate, mang!

Todd's won motherfucking medals!
Receipt of the:

* "Plissken Medal"
* "O'Neil Ring Award"
* "Cash Medal of Honor"
* "MacReady Cross"
* "Capt Ron Trophy"
* "McCaffrey Fire Award"
* "Dexter Riley Award"
Motherfuckin' vampire hunter Kurt Russel.

not to mention 47 isn't trained to use a Doom BFG, Todd is.

Don't forget Todd is also capable of using the "Illudium PU36 ESM," otherwise known as the "Illudium PU36 Explosive Space Modulator. So he could always say fuck it and blow up the whole world, just to be sure :wink:

I'd have to give this one to Todd.

47 is one hell of an infiltrator and assassin, but OP is taking about a contest of sheer killiness. And Todd's got the killiness factor down pat.

Btw, is "Tannhauser Gate" in his service record (a veritable chest of easter eggs) a reference to Dream Pod 9's Heavy Gear?

I believe Tannhauser Gate is a reference to Blade Runner. It's one of the places Roy Batty mentions in his monologue near the end.

As for the medal list, I recognize all but the last two as characters Russell's played. Speaking of, why isn't there a Jack Burton award, and maybe a Wyatt Earp one too?

Ah, right.. I recall the skinjob mentioning seeing the beauty of the Tannhauser Gate as he died.. iirc. It's been a while.

Did DP9 take the term from Blade Runner then?
Seems too unlikely a coincidence.

I believe that is a near certinty.Especially given that DP9 wasn't even publishing back when Blade Runner came out.

Heh, good thing I didn't put up a poll. :) lol.

I thought of this topic when I recently watched "Soldier" on T.V. Loved the movie and I hope to find the DVD.

It's been directly acknowledged as being taken from Blade Runner (and if I recall, even stated to be set in the same universe).

Yeah, Soldier is apparently what is called a "sidequel." The soldiers Todd fights are replicants from Blade Runner as well.
