And they're using the Sharpe films as a reference (together with real research and using professionsals - as they say - in the end the duels have to be entertaining, not just realistic. 8)

Nice. I wonder how battles will play out in terms of gameplay, since most units would be using muskets.

Well there were musket duels in the video, melee is still going to be a significant part of the game, after all.

I'm just looking forward to the possibilities of this technique for Rome 2: TW.

I thought romans did not favour too much on sword fights? Just knock them over with their shield and stab...

Even if it were that simple (and it's not), who said anything about just sword fights? We can see soldiers fighting with the butts of their rifles. Shield moves can easily be motion-captured ala HBO's Rome.
