Personally I'm thinking about leaving the OMSK, I don't want to get nuked occasionally if you all run into tensions again. Neither do I have the time to manage security issues properly.

My ministries are drafting documents for a graceful exit.

The whole SPIRAL fleet and the O.S.F. vessels and support documentation will be granted to UKB free of charge.

yeah but when in the last 6 hours did OMSK go from being the superduperpower to almost as fractus as terra libertopia? I mean I'm currently bordered by Stas and Shep. I have to overfly Stas or Bean to realistically get stuff to the market. Now I compete economically with Stas on the heavy lifting, but not so much on high tech or military things. my primary exports are food, entertainment, tourism and software, as well as aircraft including helos, airships, and commerical heavy lifting including several anachronistic things.

My military really is designed not to work, and gets by mostly through disinformation, and the fact that selling a lot of software, my nation does appear to have a decent history of shifting to that "other kind" of piracy. (hmmm an evil thought)

Actually I still have a hearts and minds campaign in Libertopia on going. and an off shore police presence along with sending a number of the BRs Moslims who had been fighting Norse Berzerker Gangs (think skinheads who are far more violent and better armed, and thanks to Soma, usually don't feel the impact of those bullets for a while), and Adultered Soma Dealers. So technically your not the sole supporter of the Sultanate, I've been supplying all three sides with food, and trying to improve the situation as a whole.

So what do I need to do?

Well Saddamistan is pretty much an international pariah and Shep seems to be gunning for that status, at least so far as the MESS is concerned.

So yeah, getting into an alliance with them will probably be seen in a less-than-favorable light.

In other news, all but my last squadron of F-14Ds have been upgraded to F-14D+s (TAG F-114H) with the remaining squadron rotated out for the T&E F-14Es (TAG F-114G) until the last upgrades are done, since I only have about six months left in the cycle.

The problem is that while MESS made some sense, as it essentially was all the Mess people at first. It could hold together through their leaders' will. OMSK ... didn't. It was just a bunch of nations without any real common goals or needs (other than the initial space launch initiatives which then were rendered entirely moot later on).

You have loose cannons like Shep doing their thing, Stas getting enormous headaches and everyone else doing what they want. Meanwhile, the MESS has unity of action (even if I think they do some dumb, dumb things). Your FUN bloc seems to be more open-ended and mostly economic, so it may survive.

If Shep is turned into a pariah himself, he'll have no choice but to ally with Saddam, and I get isolated due to my shenanigans in Alexandria, then what? We live in interesting times, that's what.

And add to the large amount of secrecy between all the nations. Throw in the fact that some members obviously did their thing and disregarded the rest. Cohesion and strength of unity, nyet.

And yeah, Shep the loose cannon, and his possible links with Saddamistan. That was just something waiting to happen in my opinion.

Ok. And as I said in the PM, I'm ending the discussion. Doesn't mean I fully trust you, but we'll go over the file and see what happens. I will also through various secure means inform MESS leaders, Byzantium, Shroomania, and PeZookia (as soon as King Paul recovers). This is done at the national leader only level, one on one meetings and I have course stress to you not to give it to the media and everything.

Given this happened during the conference, I probably just hunted most of you down and did it then and there. So now those countries know what I know. Everyone else is still in the dark though. Dunno if Shroom or eventually PeZook will tell the FUN: up to them really.

Given current events all of this is not top priority probably. But we're still looking into the file.
