Ok, i am calling a conference. As Shroom said it's about time we had one.
Woho, we in FUN will have Space Marines! Soviet Space Marines!
Awesome. 8)
Shady do you want to give it a shot? This Ramsley is modeled after a Orthodox Patriarch who's a Serb/Croat/anyone in the Balkans. Seeing as such you happen to be living in that area itself.

Reload. Also, Ender doesn't have a map yet. But he's somewhere east of Adrianopolis! ;) That's the free place on the map for a big nation.

FUN is getting better.

As for UAR, frankly if it's them versus MESS, I'd give it to the MESS hands down.

Jenova ;) Final Fantasy for the wiN!! :D

EDIT: To the FUN

I believe "Security Council" sounds... Eh... Why not call it "Administrative Commitee"? Security Council will no doubt cause memories of the now-defunct OMSK SC. :(

No thanks.

I lived through a Libertia of sorts, and don't want anything to do with it.

Give it to Raj or somebody.

Sheesh... For me to handle the Patriarch is as good as asking me to do a Mitosis and hope that both "me" can be impartial.

Hmmm.... lemmee think about it; I may be able to handle Ramsley....

[EDIT]: Actually, I'd like permission to set up an "evil account" sock puppet, for use only in the STGOD forum. I do this in SB.com, where I use "Darth Coyotus" as my alternate-ID for setting up evil plots.... Bean, would I have to go to DW for that, or...?

Something about Libertarianism always bothered me. Then one day, I realized what it was:
Libertarian philosophy can be boiled down to the phrase, "Work Will Make You Free."

In Libertarianism, there is no Government, so the Bosses are free to exploit the Workers.
In Communism, there is no Government, so the Workers are free to exploit the Bosses.
So in Libertarianism, man exploits man, but in Communism, its the other way around!

I have spare Proton-M production ability which is by far the cheapest most reliable rocket on the planet(Both Nova Terra and Old EartH). And until you want to launch your own Hubble or Space station you don't need anything bigger.

Proton-M's launch costs are cheaper partially because of lower infrastructure and labor costs, too. Those factors don't apply here: I expect launch costs to be pretty similar. Now, you can mass produce, but so can I, and Falcon is specifically designed to be cheap to make and launch in numbers.

Or you can get Delta-IV, which is scalable from 20 tons to about 50 tons as is, and that doesn't take into account improvements that will occur, such as TAN, use of other materials in the construction of the rockets, etc.

Or if you're interested in very lightweight satellites, the Starbooster 10 is quite capable of doing so, for much cheaper cost per pound than any other rocket system. Should be ready early next year.

Or buy Proton-M's which I'm willing to beat their prices at, even if I have to sell at a loss... why? Because I'm anti-free trade bastard.
But I'm YOUR bastard.

Unless you need very lightweight satellites(Under half a ton) in which case Beowulf's starbooster is a good deal. I'd have to built a rocket from scratch to do the ultra-light launchs, it's not been interesting since the number of things you need to launch is running low.

We have, Satellite GPS, TV, Phone, Internet, Communication, Navigation, Weather.

That's all the bases, all that's left is Purely Scientific, and manned stations.

Yes, but I always find myself compulsively looking at that map almost every other time I make a post. Why? I don't know. But I am starting to think of myself as some kind of scheming Bond villain...

Don't you see?! My relative non-ambition in international dickery and pissery and feather-ruffling is the most sinister act of all! I profit from peace, prosper from... placidity! Even in the most turbulent of times, I slack off and laze around and try and make a buck for everywhere and make sure the people are well-fed and not irradiated! That is why the FUN shall inherit the New Earth! That is why I am the largest of all cockroaches!

Well, king Paul will not attend the conference in person for obvious reasons, but we will send a representative.

The key issues would be:

1) The FUN administrative body. What are its obligations, authority and voting rules.

2) Separate FUN space program: yea or nay?

3) Defence strategy (we need to push JASD forward)

4) Obviously, Saddamistan and Libertia. Goddamned Libertia!

Oh, and we really should aim for the moons. A Proton-M can easily launch a series of unmanned probes and rovers as far as Selene. It will be great preparation for an eventual manned mission, and will make Terra Novan scientists piss themselves with joy.

Also, since our local system is so fucked up (three moons?) we really, really need experience in navigating it :D

On the FUN space program, we really should have our own launch capability. I'm all for contracting the UKB for launching most stuff, but it's really common sense that we get to launch our own sats and manned capsules just in case.

Aw, and I was so looking forward to personally congratulating you on your (medical) progress.
The key issues would be:

1) The FUN administrative body. What are its obligations, authority and voting rules.
I've no opinion as to the exact manner of our governance, but a committee seems to be the only way to do it.
2) Separate FUN space program: yea or nay?
Yea. I'll provide what monies I can, and it seems that, with the Bear Republic and the Red Technocracy, we've got the ability to do it.
3) Defence strategy (we need to push JASD forward)
What's this?
4) Obviously, Saddamistan and Libertia. Goddamned Libertia!
We can't hope to overcome Saddamistan in a military confrontation, especially now that Shepnukistan has joined them in the Unholy Alliance. and Libertia is equally beyond our means to solve. I suggest that we provide what humanitarian aid we can, but otherwise keep our noses out, and therefore unskinned.

The positions of the Qudlivun Free State are as follows:
PeZook wrote:1) The FUN administrative body. What are its obligations, authority and voting rules.
We believe that such a body should exist but have no specific recommendations at this time.
PeZook wrote:2) Separate FUN space program: yea or nay?
Yea on a joint space program within FUN, funded by all nations. However all developments will be decidedly non-military. I believe communications and research satellites should be our opening priority.
PeZook wrote:3) Defence strategy (we need to push JASD forward)
Other than developing the defenses of our respective nations so that invasion or attack would be too costly for even a powerful nation to carry out we have no comment.
PeZook wrote:4) Obviously, Saddamistan and Libertia. Goddamned Libertia!
Libertia, in my opinion, needs to still demonstrate that they can operate as a state and are worth our attention before we invest anything in that nation. Humanitarian aid is fine in limited amounts until that occurs. As for Saddamistan we should build up our defenses to make an attack by them too costly to carry out while attempting to engage them diplomatically.

A Parliamentry system, each nation has two MP's (on by popular election, one by apointment), who compose a federal body.
2) Separate FUN space program: yea or nay?
Yea! Especially if i can get my areospace industry building stuff for orbital launch.
3) Defence strategy (we need to push JASD forward)
As well as each of our national militaries, i say we create a FUN military force, a sort of Elite force a division or two in size. I say we call this FUN Rapid Action Responce Command, or for short RARCOM. as well as a Strategic Defense System.

Although i am bringing up the issue of Nuclear Weaponry and our policy towards it?
4) Obviously, Saddamistan and Libertia. Goddamned Libertia!
I am in favour of General Neutrality to internal Libertian Conflicts, let them blow each up and don't send so much as a single gunstock to any of the factions. On Saddamistan, we need alot of defenses.
Oh, and we really should aim for the moons. A Proton-M can easily launch a series of unmanned probes and rovers as far as Selene. It will be great preparation for an eventual manned mission, and will make Terra Novan scientists piss themselves with joy.
I am all for it, Zoria has a spaceprobe with orbiter and rover in a warehouse designed to go to Selene waiting for someone to send it up.
