Yeah, that's why we locked it down; it has been locked for some time for Saddamistani shipping, and since you allied with him, it has been locked for your shipping as well.Look, the central sea is the quickest route to Libertopia
Of course. The whole point is to make economic cooperation through naval trade between Saddam and you unfeasible or incredibly straining.I commit to either a very long detour
It also serves to prevent UAR joint actions in Libertia, or make them economically straining ocne again.
That's called "economic sanctions" in SDN World and they are effective as I see, thanks territorial proximity.

Hmm... Fine, Tonkin will get honourably Blacklisted some time later of course, but other than that, I see no problems with phongs' ships passing.

I know it's unfair to kick someone who is already falling, but Unlimited Economic Warfare from RT is possible towards anyone who deals with UAR, meaning various sanctions, since the UAR produces bioweapons.
Of course, that means we would lobby international instances to enact a trade embargo of UAR, if possible, a far more severe one than Cuba is enjoying. ICSA autorities (Shroom, Pezook and Dave) might just cut short any cargo ship orders by Shepnukistan, meaning it will have to construct own bulkers.
Hehehe, US tactics sometimes can feel so satisfying.
Saddamistan was already embargoed by the majority of nations, so the issue is only extending it to the entier UAR and maybe Tonkin - their foul ways are not forgotten no matter what they do, and besides they are dirty bourgeois.
Man, I get a kick of being a vindictive asshole and having very good reasons to be one! Remember, anyone who makes bioweapons is BAD BAD BAD, and anyone who deals with people who make them is also BAD.

Well, Shepnukistan didn't actually order and ships this year. Okay, before we get carried away, allow me to state that we should rescind the lockdown if Saddamistan decided to end its bioweapon program.Stas Bush wrote:Saddamistan was already embargoed by the majority of nations, so the issue is only extending it to the entier UAR and maybe Tonkin - their foul ways are not forgotten no matter what they do, and besides they are dirty bourgeois.

As I've said in my speech, they don't need those weapons, anyway, since they can already wipe out anybody they don't like.

He did recently.Well, Shepnukistan didn't actually order and ships this year.
In any case, I agree that if they abandon the bioweapons and open the nation for full territory inspection the ban should be lifted; however, that's as good as waiting for heavens to open and Q to force them do it.
The ISCA policies regarding UAR and it's partners are at the FUN discretion, as well as generic FUN measures against them as long as they do what they do with little attention to th world community.
EDIT: Duh, what did I say? We'd sooner have the sky fall. The only feasible solution is to ruin and strangle UAR economically, bog it in insurgent warfare wherever possible and eventually, they would be forced into an autarky which will have severe economic consequences.

Look, Tonkinites went such long ways, rejected the UAR cargo haul plans apparently to avoid getting blacklisted... and still got blacklisted for ever joining with UAR on any action in the first place

This only means a very large Nukistani/Saddamistani nuclear propulsion program now, you realize, to get around the huge ranges you're forcing us to fly?
Red Outline is of an An-225 for scale.

Yeah, but it doesn't exist since you never announced either it's construction or even plans to construct such. And I fear it never proceeded beyond blueprints, which means a full scale research period before launching it.
So we managed to halt rapid shippings for a few months at least, if you use conventional planes to ultimately move the cargo, or for a few years if you suspend cargo movement until you make your nuclear toy
Considering the problems real nuclear planes faced, you're in for years of trouble -and your entier economy is a measly fraction of what the U.S. economy is, and so is your defense budget.
In the meantime, you'd be forced to rely on ordinary plane flights for rapid communication and cargo hauls to Saddam, or roundabout ship routes.
All of it is uneconomic, straining and effective in making the alliance rather untenable

Ok, I have about three pages of IU stuff to catch up on now (damn you all!) but the FUN could probably do the council like we do: everyone who is a member gets one seat, regardless of size. All votes are equal.
We have 11 members as of now, so it can work for us, and we shouldn't have to worry about ties (if it happens, the Chief Administrator/Councilor has the power to decide) so we're not too big for it to still be a fairly quick process. I don't know offhand how many people the FUN have though.
Anyway, back to catching up. I don't think anyone has been nuked yet, right?

Ok, I'm looking for cheap fighters to create an actual airforce (right now, my entire air force is composed of 10 Yak-130s. They are equipped with gun pods and missiles for patrol duties, but...well...)
So...I'm looking at buying at least one full squadron (12 fighters). I'll probably want to buy Mig-29s with upgraded radars and electronics (since my pilots are training on Yak-130s) or perhaps Su-27.
Cost is the main issue here.
EDIT: On the FUN fast reaction force, PeZookia is forming an airmobile batallion right now, which will be capable of long-range missions (endemic KC-130 tankers and heli gunships), and is similar in role and training to the Shinra Rangers.
Now, it will be ready for operations in four years, unless I get 1.3 billion bucks for equipment from somewhere, but it'll be a perfect tool for the FUNRF.

No, no sales of my drawn down fleet will be done until after the first of the year.Fingolfin_Noldor wrote:Did Shep just buy all the carriers from Bean? *grumbles*
However Sheppard has already offered for both carriers, he of course only wants the stripped down ships(Which gives me a ton of spare t keep Valor in tip top shape) but at a lessor price. Should anyone fall to buy the fully running carriers I'll take his lessor offer.
