Florida Kindergartener Voted Out By Students
My mother sent me this.
Apparently the teacher thought she was in the right, but I don't see how that would ever be permissible.

What... the...
bah... no words. Just, none. He's already got enough problems, and now his memory of kindergarden is being told by his teacher that only one out of seven kids in the class want to tolerate him.

It's pretty amazing at the end of the article. The school board is advising the teacher not to grant interviews. I'm amazed that it's defending her.Invictus ChiKen wrote:Edit:
Did anyone watch the video? The teacher FORCED the child's friend to vote him out.
I'm afraid that might be difficult. Is it possible we can lock that teacher up and throw away the jail???

What in the Seven Hells was going through this teacher's mind when she decided to have this vote?
"The rifle itself has no moral stature, since it has no will of its own. Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles."

I'm pretty sure she was trying to be "progressive" by getting the other students to start an open dialogue with the trouble-maker about why their behavior is harmful. Unfortunately, she decided to turn it into preschool survivor for some reason. (That's just speculation of course, I really have no clue what was going through her head).Lonestar wrote:What in the Seven Hells was going through this teacher's mind when she decided to have this vote?
I'm pretty sure no actual thought went into this decision. Regurgitation of the latest fashionable bullshit from teacher college perhaps, or maybe just imitation of something she saw on TV.Chardok wrote: Changes nothing, though. What in the nine hells was she thinking?
I don't know about any of your experiences, but in mine in the state that needs burning again, the kindergarten teachers were the worst of the worst, the stupidest of the stupid, the trophy wives of the system (I wondered as a child how I never saw any of them wearing the same top twice and how they could afford that. The concept of being a trophy wife was still years away for me; this may also be why they tried to push little girls into wanting to be princesses, because that's how they saw themselves - married a rich prince so they wouldn't have to do anything all day and wear lots of pretty clothes and be imbeciles. You realize that "early education majors" in Georgia take classes in fingerpainting? I am dead serious. And then at least one of them tried to claim to me while I was in college that her classes were just as hard as mine. I'm going to stop now before this rant gets unreadable.)

Can we vote this bitch out of life? If we are leaving things up to democracy, I am sure I can find millions of people who want to kill a black woman. But that would be racist and prejudicial of me. So, just were in the fucking hell does this dumbass get the idea of voting him out? Survivor? Is that it? Please tell me someone who is supposed to teach children something, anything, is smart enough to recognize that the voting off process of survivor is supposed to be a horrifying ordeal meant to traumatize them all. It is the source of interpersonal tension and drama to the show. This is basic stuff you learn in a 100 level college English course. You know, every time I want to love something about the world, Florida (you panhandling motherfuckers, if it wasn't for your beaches and racetracks...) just has to do something like this and I realize that there isn't enough green on the planet to smoke to allow it.

I imagine she probably just thought the kid was a trouble child and wanted to demonstrate that misbehaving causes people to dislike you. This was completely retarded, but I can almost see her bizarre logic behind it. She thought she was teaching the kid that nobody likes a trouble maker.
I'm sort of giving her the benefit of the doubt in assuming that she was just stupid instead of a cruel bitch who likes making little kids feel bad about themselves.

"The 4th Earl of Hereford led the fight on the bridge, but he and his men were caught in the arrow fire. Then one of de Harclay's pikemen, concealed beneath the bridge, thrust upwards between the planks and skewered the Earl of Hereford through the anus, twisting the head of the iron pike into his intestines. His dying screams turned the advance into a panic."'
