Is the lawyer blind? I just thought he had awesome sunglasses.

No, he definitely isn't blind.

President Apollo just got a large bullseye painted on him. If he's the leader when they find earth, I believe the other word attributed to that in the prophecy is "dying".

Not really. The dying leader can still be Roslyn, the prophecy doesn't turn on who happens to be president when they find Earth.

Even still, the leader need not be the President. It could be Adama Sr, or whoever does the mapwork to lead them to Earth.

I note Tigh says they're down 40 Vipers what with the Basestar jumping away, and they'll have to reconfigure the CAP. At least we have a lower limit for Galactica's current Viper complement.

Later he says they're down half a fighter wing, so a full wing for Galactica is not a bad guess, given Pegasus' fighters.

EDIT: I suppose the next episode will be what happened to the Cylon Rebels and Roslin & co in the battle of the Resurrection Hub ...

I assume Galactica picked up its drifting fighters before heading back ...

Ok that was dumb...

Adama finds Saul fucking the Cylon prisoner. Saul may be compromised.

Adama hands over command of the fleet to Saul.

Erm... Ok... So while it is not a good military decision to waste the resources and safety of the entire fleet waiting and searching for the baseship, it is sound military judgement to hand over command to someone who is fucking a Cylon?

For the record, are Saul and the 3 really Cylons?

I know it seems that it seems dead certain those 4 are Cylons... but seriously they just start hearing some weird music and so that must be Cylon? WTF? Brainwash? Mind-control? Anyone thought about that first.

Not to mention that Saul has a long history with Adama. When were the Cylons first created? Human forms were a recent thing right? Saul and Adama go way back...

Did you perhaps miss the glaring big 'FOUR LIVE IN SECRET' bit in the opening credits that SHOWS Tyrol, Tigh, Anders and Tori when talking about the Cylons?

Have you been paying any attention to the series whatsoever?

Yes, they are Cylons. It says so in the opening credits.

The final five, according to the Hybrids, are from Earth. It doesn't matter when Colonial skinjobs were made, Earth's skinjobs seem to predate them. Saul could still be part of the fleet during the first Cylon war and know Adama, if said Cylons really are from Earth.

Since when are we required to take the words of the opening credits or the characters as gospel? According to the opening credits, the Cylons "have a plan," but we haven't seen a thing supporting it. In the show, all we have to go on are that the characters heard music and convinced themselves that they're Cylons. I'm not convinced that it's anything other than a bunch of deluded crazies.

Have we seen any examples of super-strength, or anything at all to suggest that they are indeed not humans? I suppose there was that thing a few episodes back with a Raider not attacking or something (can't recall exactly what happened), but there are many other reasons that can explain that too.

We have seen things supporting that they're Cylons. Anders 'Red Eye' when fighting the Cylon's and being recognised as one of the Final Five (during the Nebula Battle in the season opener) Tori has shown super strength when she hit Cally. So as far as i can remember now at least 2 of them have shown signs of being a Cylon.

Super-Strength, as mentioned, with Tori and the Cally-slapping. Doesn't seem like a normal thing to do for a woman of Tori's build...

And that wasn't just one Cylon Raider that did not attack, it was ALL Raiders that refused to fight and the Cylons had to leave the battlefield. The Raiders certainly didn't do it because they had a bad day...

Alright. I haven't been able to watch much this season due to an abrupt lack of cable. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

First time we've seen a Raptor crew member doing an EVA with what looks like maneuvering jets on the suit. Very slick.

Anyone else catch Tigh drop Laird's name? I wonder if theyll show him as the new deck chief with Tyrol demoted?

Man, I feel bad about the Lawyer.

You got to figure that the cat was probably the only thing keeping him grounded, and when it got killed he unraveled.

That got me too. And Adama said he's the only one he can trust with command. I guess that says a lot about what he thinks about everyone else.
'Ai! ai!' wailed Legolas. 'A Balrog! A Balrog is come!'
Gimli stared with wide eyes. 'Durin's Bane!' he cried, and letting his axe fall he covered his face.
'A Balrog,' muttered Gandalf. 'Now I understand.' He faltered and leaned heavily on his staff. 'What an evil fortune! And I am already weary.'

Well who else is left, senior officer-wise? Tigh is all he really has left thats capable of actually commanding the ship with Helo and Apollo not available to him.

Dare I say it....Dee? She was XO on Pegasus, yes?

Actually, that wasn't a serious suggestion, but she's the only one left who barely qualifies.

Favorite part of this episode, when Adama tells Tigh how many times he's had to repair that clipper ship. Given the backstory on the ship (I'm sure they didn't use the real one this time), I found that particularly hilarious.

Captain Kelly's probably still hanging around somewhere, he seems competent.

How 'bout Gaeta, when he gets out of the surgery?

He did, and I quote "Put his life on hold to serve as an officer on a Battlestar. Gaeta as CO with Dee as XO wouldn;t be bad.

Also, did anyone find it odd that Anders blows the leg off of a superior officer-little to no punishment visible, free run of sickbay. Athena kills another Cylon-Brig. Shouldn't she just be punished with "unauthorized discharge of a firearm?" Irony!!!!

Also, "Husker getting back into the cockpit was pure awesome.
