The Koran shooting incident was just a couple of weeks ago and resulted in people elsewhere getting killed because of it, as well as a very public drumming of the moron who did that. For this guy to go right ahead and do this shit after that warrants even harsher treatment. Court martial and dishonorable discharge at a minimum, and whatever else applies on top, is what he deserves.

More seriously, this is why I suggested court-martialling the sniper for treason; the hope that, even if the case failed (which I expect it would, in any reasonable court), idiots like this might realise how important their actions are to their country.

Of course there were instructions. But just think about how fucking delusional and stupid the soldier has to be, in order to believe that he might convert someone to Christianity by giving him a coin with the John 3:16 verse printed on it. In Iraq.

Really? I figured you suggested it because you, like everyone else who throws the term around, don't realize how serious a charge it is and the evidence burdens it entails.
