It's entirely possible that many of these "Hillary supporters" weren't even Hillary supporters to begin with. They may very well be Republicans disguised as former Hillary supporters. My feeling is that many, if not most, of these women are blowing off steam now, but will come back to the fold by November. John McCain has a perfect rating from the National Right to Life Foundation. How many feminists are going give that guy a chance to put three justices on the Supreme Court?

Good point. They might stew in their juices for a while. Hell, they might even put a McCain/Other Rich Old White Man '08 bumper sticker on their car or sign in their yard in their bitterness. But as soon as the ads start popping up about McCain's unambiguous intention to appoint justices that would overturn Roe v. Wade, they'll get over their gender-induced rage.

Also, it's important to note that the above applies to white women, mainly. Black women consistently went for Obama throughout the entire primary season, so there's no reason for that to suddenly change now.

On the other hand McCain's opponents didn't say that if they didn't win the Democrat would be a better president than McCain. They may have been his opponents but they never seemed to be his enemies.
I'm pretty sure it was posted somewhere here that Hilary said outright that McCain would be a better president than Obama. If she keeps up that line no matter how subtle, it will hurt the Democrats at the polls.
