I think he's asking about the agility tests to jump down, as presented on p 214, such that he has a chance to reduce the total distance he fell in an uncontrolled manner and thus hopefully reduce the total damage he took. Actually, he shouldn't take any damage unless he failed the first test as he would have only "fallen" two metres which I think is under the threshold for falling damage, if I am reading the rules right.

As far as I can tell, the Catfall Talent is used to reduce the damage after you start failing the controlled agility tests. The falling mechanic is a bit unusual in Dark Heresy.

Ah, fair enough, I had missed that section. Unfortunately, he does in fact fail the first test (not uncommon, given his agility), so the result stands.

While you are being chased off in the general direction as the other two people, you don't know which way they went past a certain point, and you are well outside of comm-bead range at this point.

Underhive Tunnels

You remember the general way back to the Balimek base, but you'll have to make a quick Intelligence test to remember the exact way back, either by tunnel or on foot.

I was wondering if I could get a map of Seghar and Octavius' posistions along with those wormy thingies. I'm really trying to get Octavius out of there and I don't want to just say "running away" I think being a bit more specific would help their case.

Given that you're running into an unknown area with little to no idea where your friends went, with the only even remotely known places being behind you, a map is not appropriate. Your options are as follows:

1. Keep running away in more or less a straight line
2. Come out at the base, away from the millisaurs, but towards the worms
3. Try to lose the stampeding beasts in the tunnels

Milisaurs?!?!

Fuck.

I suppose it'd make the most sense to go 2. I've got this itchy feeling that tunnels = death, especially with bus sized centipedes running foot loose and fancy free.

I'm moderately mad though now because if I recall, Octavius only carried lik 100 rounds with him for the auto gun and smaller amounts for the hunting rifle and hand cannon. I'm really hoping we don't get into a fight with the giant wormy things.

To be fair, the Millisaurs are only 1-2 meters long each. Think of them like big doggies that want to eat you alive.

This game is in serious danger of failing utterly, in part I suspect because of the overly large group size and the long delays in posting. One player has already dropped out, and I'm getting rather tired of keeping the vast majority of players waiting because of the actions of a few.

If this game does in fact fall apart, I may offer another with a strict player limit, but that's still suspect. It's a pity, since I had quite a lot more planned for this game, but oh well, such is life.

If it does collapse could I get in on the next group? I know that my last few posts haven't exactly been much, but then again I was just dropping "I'm still here" posts and waiting for the plot to advance to morning when we could do stuff again.

If you wanted a strict player limit, you could just kill off the inactive players here and continue with whoever is left.

I'd just like to see this adventure continue, as I am intrigued by the happenings so far.

I suppose that those running through the tunnels who are taking too long would be the easiest ones to deal with, and an attack on the Grimlochs would clear out the others who are taking too long, although a definite check in will be needed seeing as how a lot of people are kind of twiddling their thumbs waiting for morning to come.

As am I. I'm sposed to be getting a full night's sleep due to the injuries, so I'm not really sure what sense it makes to post, unless I'm sposed to start having nightmares or something

I'm not sure if I'm one of the ones being referred to or not, but in either case my life has become somewhat stressful as of late, so with the GM's permission I'd like to bow out either indefinitely or permanently (whichever works best) so as not to bog things down for everyone else.

i am good to go and have been posting acordingly. Whatever actions are deemed neccesary to continue the game I will support. Players are unfortunately likely to have to be cut, which is a shame, as most of the characters were quite interesting.

You know what the hilarious irony of this is? I just finished watching a compilation of Big NOOOOOOS that go strangely with Octavius' death I think.

Also, I now finally have a headset so I can communicate over Skype next time we get together. Hopefully that would be soon as it would be great to fire the heavy stubber again, and with proper training this time so that I can actually hit shit. And the errata'd rules so that I can lots more shit.
