I could chip in some money. And if we're going to do lunar landings, we should have one astronaut from the MESS and one from the FUN on the lander (if we're following how the US generally did it by putting two on the lunar surface at a time). It'll be a shining example of international and interalliance cooperation!

Let's see if the rest of the MESS will go in a joint MESS/FUN Lunar Mission.

Sure!

The program is far more ambitious than that ; There will be outposts and several Soyuz missions before them ; I figure we'll need close to a hundred astronauts for all of that.

We'd welcome a joint MESS/FUN program!

Canissia has no qualified astronauts, but we'll gladly supply robot stuff, rovers, etc.
Something about Libertarianism always bothered me. Then one day, I realized what it was:
Libertarian philosophy can be boiled down to the phrase, "Work Will Make You Free."

In Libertarianism, there is no Government, so the Bosses are free to exploit the Workers.
In Communism, there is no Government, so the Workers are free to exploit the Bosses.
So in Libertarianism, man exploits man, but in Communism, its the other way around!

just clear it with the Senate guys, just remember never will you find a more loathsum hive of scum and villiany. I mean I don't even think that we've even begun to take care of Voter fraud, or that wouldn't explain some senators winnign my 400% of the Registered voters....

edit and if you could just relocate that cat from hell to deep space, the citizens of the BR would probably be thankful. Seems no one has ever been able to stop it from comming back, or the fact that it's castrated 50 people, ripped numerous eyes, noses, ears, tunghes, and other soft tissue off. not to mention some alleged fatalities....

I wonder does "Mr. Jenkins" count under the bioweapon's ban?, then again would Bear Republic Television take a hit if he wasn't arround launching himself like a furry missile at people's faces and crotches?

A bit of a repeat, but a nessisary one, considering that two million people died in Nukistani Civil War (along undoubtedly with Industry and infastructure that was around them) and part of the nation has suceeeded, would the Economy of Shepnukistan (RoS and RoN respectively) a bit ruined on the whole at this point?

I have no objections to a FUN/MESS mission.

As for Crosshairs'11, what sort of exercises are we talking about?

For a proposed moon mission, the IRT will propose launching its orbital fuel depot so you can get more mission mass.

Raj, note that the West Neverhood guys have a supply of anti-air missiles. Don't count on your helicopters staying unscathed.

ProTec has taken some casualties, no doubt about it. Though they have been carefull about how they operate though. (Flying low and fast, putting countermeasure packages on their choppers, etc.) Taking helicopters would still be safer and faster than moving on the ground.

About what ProTec has acquired on this contract with Shepnukistan. Part of the contract said that ProTec could buy equipment from Shepnukistan, and before the civil war started ProTec bought some discounted blackhawks, military transport planes and some IED resistant vehicles. After the civil war started, things are a bit shadier. I figure there would be unsavory sorts at the arms depots ProTec could deal with, and the company has since acquired enough light armoured vehicles to equip about two comanies of troops and maybe 1-3 main battle tanks. This sort of hardware would be frankly neccesary to be running around in such a rebel rich enviroment. Some of the LAVs would likely have been purchased before the start of the civil war and ProTec neded to make some shady deals to get the tools needed for the job. Armoured SUV's aren't going to cut it when your aponents are using ATGM's!

On another note, Indhopal would be interested in investing in a joint space progam, though we couldn't put up much money. PErhaps only $50 million.

Also is day one of the visit of King Paul in the Shinra Republic finished? Just reminding you all of the meeting with Indhopal's foreign minister scheduled for the second day.

All right, so if I'm counting this right, right now we have:

23 bil/year necessary

Shroomania: 5 bil
Republics...whatever: 5 bil
RT: 2 bil
Bear Republic: 5 bil
PeZookia: 500 mil (sigh...more deficit...but great endeavours!)
Indophal: 50 mil
Canissia: drone development. Equivalent to...I don't know, 1 billion?
Byzantium: 1 billion
Zoria: 1.5 billion
Langley: 50 million
Mangka: 500 million

So, in total, we need 1.40 billion more (for the most pessimistic figure of 70 billion to land the Soyuz on Selene)

EDIT: Edited to add new contributors

Up Shroomania for 5 bil. Let's say Republicsbergstatesville (absentee ballot!) puts in 5 bil as well. Now let's go ask Crossroads what he's willing to put in.

Oh, and the Duchies, mang! Let's ask em!

Zor is probably investing a few billion as well. He's doing most of the work in the Comona Islands (which I lent him for a ridiculously cheap price).

I guess I could irritate the Ministry of Trade/Energy a little more and take 1 billion...

If they land during the lunar day, stargazing would be quite difficult. They'd only be able to see stars when in shadows, and after making sure they can't see the surface.

They could still have a picnic inside the armored cramped pressurized cabin of the lunar lander, though ;)

Or stargaze through its optics, during their downtime from EVAs...in their underwear...alone on an alien world...
