Actually, I remember investing in some Nukebeard project by Shep.

Just what the heck does it do again? And ever since the chaos, I think the lab is either shut down or my security forces seized all the data slates before they could be returned to Shepnukistan. It is my investment anyhow.

I beleive it was a Blackbeard Missile armed with a nuclear warhead.

Hah! 2 billion left. We can actually start all the program now, and wait for others to chip in.

But before we blast off, we need a cool name for our space agency. Shroom? :P

I think we should invest in a vessel to track the rockets in orbit. Either a ship fully laden with radars, or something.

How about a network of floating tracking stations out in the ocean?

We'll need supporting ships to service them, though. Fortunately, the technology for nuke-powered freighters is there :D

Concerning a space program, the Duchy of Langley can only pitch in US$50 million per year. While it's not much, every little bit does help, after all.

Would it be fair to get $50 mil from all of the Duchies? That might cause folks to bitch at the FUN using its newfound powers to be a bit pushy, though...

Also: Radar Zeppelins! Now that the Bear Republic and Crossrodia are in the FUN, we've got the world's biggest airship nuts (save for Canissia) in our organization.

GO TO THE OFF-WORLD COLONIES. A NEW LIFE AWAITS YOU.

All we need now is for Byzantium's cloning shtick or Mangka's pharmaceutical stuff to produce a race of artificial humanoids and...

Quite possible yeah. The only issue of course is designing them and building the nuke vessels, though it shouldn't take long. I would think a hull designed at 4000 TEU would be reduced to 2000-3000 TEU after the installation of the nuclear reactor. Probably 2000 considering that ther will be need for additional equipment and what not.

Be careful for what you wish for.

Though to be honest, unless Q grants it, cloning technology will be rather limited.

The ISCA already has commercial nuclear vessels designed, and Shroomania has even built a Shepnukistani-designed one.

And since they will be purpose built servicing ships, cargo capacity isn't that much of an issue.

Plus, we can build them huge if we want to.

Heh. I have 2 dry docks for aircraft carriers, large enough to build the largest oil carrier.

Yes, a 20000 TEU vessel isn't impossible.

HUEG.

Also, mangs. Who wants to purchase stratellites? Airships that go into the atmosphere to act as discount satellites.

Do you really want to trust Bean with your satellites? At least with me, all you get is explicit pornography and homoerotic subtext. With Bean, for all you know you might get subluminal, luminal and superluminal imaging causing your populace to coup your ass and send you to the Atlantean firing squad

I propose to name the mission "Selene" and the motto "Where no man has gone before" ;)

I can also propose logos :) but in a moment, a little short on time now
Lì ci sono chiese, macerie, moschee e questure, lì frontiere, prezzi inaccessibile e freddure
Lì paludi, minacce, cecchini coi fucili, documenti, file notturne e clandestini
Qui incontri, lotte, passi sincronizzati, colori, capannelli non autorizzati,
Uccelli migratori, reti, informazioni, piazze di Tutti i like pazze di passioni...

...La tranquillità è importante ma la libertà è tutto!

I like the name. So...Selene program, and the space agency motto "Where no Man Has Gone Before".

I will whip up a mission patch when we're actually close to landing on the moon :D

Okay, another iteration. Got rid of the "engine blast" because it looked like shit. Also, there are three stars now: for the MESS, the FUN and the unaligned nations participating in the project.

All right - the ISCA budget for FY2011 is finished and published. If the ISCA approves, we can finally start construction. With four shifts a day, so that we can actually make it by the end of FY2011 :D

Just a side question. At present, Constantinople Shipping is insured by a local insurance company Venetian Banking. Is ICSA strictly a design hub for freighters and such, or do we want to include ship insurance?

Right now, the ISCA is a management/design bureau like NASA is for space: that is, we distribute construction and R&D contracts and oversee the work.

It's entirely possible we could diversify into ship insurance in some way, if only by making it easier to insure ships for their purchasers :D
