Mellissa Evert was photographed topless with her hands undoing her "Cowgirl" jeans which she was wearing "Commando" style. In addition to complaints from BR based "Pirates Booty" and "Dragonskin" jeans companies, some are arguing that this is not the right image to be sending to our young women. Senate Filibuster ends in Gunfire:
Senator Hawks filibuster preventing the 2011 budget from going through, was ended today, when Senator Meadows of the Naturalist Party, siezed the sargent at arm's P90, mortally wounding the Peacemaker in the struggle, he then opened fire on the Senator injuring Hawks, Frye, Madison, and Killing Senator Swiggard. Meadows then attempted to turn the P90 on himself but it had already jammed. Republic Peacemakers then killed Senator Medows with a gyrojet round, which due to close range failed to penatrate very deeply allowing Meadows a fifteen minute speach before the propellent detonated. Officials believe that the rocket chemicals were mixed improperly resulting in too long of a burn without enough energy.

Also Marley's Cigarettes are making a major upswing following the Shepnukistan Civil War, where Ganja is increasing in popularity in Neverhood, ROS, and in the Blackmarkets of Shepnukistan. Also Norsemotors ultralight "Sport" ATV the MAX, has been increasing in sales, with lots of boy racers all over the world wanting try their hand at the infamous "Deathrace 2010 'Interceptor' model" The Max is currently manufactured in the Bear Republic, Shadow Empire (where they've added more body coverings to it.) and Shroomania.

There was a sense tat Indhopal was heading in the right direction, but that the cost was likely to be quite high. ProTec's contracts in Neverhood and Libertopia were not casualty free. Men were coming back dead or maimed. Protests had been held demanding greater compensation for men killed or wounded while on contract. Other protests had demanded action on the terrorist attacks that had rocked the Capital. No official action had been taken besides quiet investigation.
The Olympics and the new space program gave everyone new hope. Indhopal had brought back three gold medals! That had exceeded everyone’s expectations. Plus despite their small size and poverty, Indhopal would be helping to put a man on the moon.

If our platform can launch these probes, while the other big powers fight over the right to launch something into the moon, we can concentrate on our own games. I think the scientists in the Bear Republic might be intrigued in our ideas."
"And add to the fact that some of our telcos would like to have their own satellites/stratellites instead of leasing it from other companies. Sure we are getting our stratellites soon, but having some redundancy will be great,"said the Trade & Development minister.
"Well, we aim to launch low to medium rockets out into space, though the issue of buying rockets comes to fore. We probably ought to talk to Tian Xia or Red Technocracy about possible rockets we could launch. That nukebeard facility might prove useful. We did invest in the damn thing anyhow," nodded Herontus.
"Then it's agreed? We open it up for civilian use as well?" asked the eager Science Minister.

He appreciated the little things, however. People waving to his limo on the street. Smiling faces at the ISCA shipyards. President Shinra having long chats with Kamila during the King's public appearances. Heh, who knows...maybe these two would hit it off.
The schedule was frantic, but well managed. Paul spoke at the Midgard University, commenting on international affairs and his view of them, and had a brief but englihtening debate with students. It seemed like yesterday when he was actually sitting there, in the lecture hall, making the notes and asking the questions.
He toured the ISCA shipyards, where frantic four-shift work was going on. New ships seemed to grow organically out of the slipways and drydocks, with little silhouettes of shipyard workers crawling all over them. The King wondered when the industry would start waning, as world-wide demand for new ships was satisfied.
Finally, they toured several public building, and spoke with public servants about their work, and how it related to the FUN and MESS.
As they returned to the presidential palace, Paul breathed a sigh of relief and spoke to the President.
"Well...I must say that while hectic, I enjoyed this day. If you don't mind, we'll be leaving tomorrow to a VIP retreat in the mountains for a few days of peace and quiet. I really, really enjoyed the visit...and amazingly, we've managed to get a few things done. How about you visit PeZookia some time soon?"

Weeks of reconstruction on the eastern coast of Terra Libertia and flights from Byzantium and Red Technocracy has since resulted in a town of prefabricated houses housing thousands of refugees from the devastated areas. A church now appeared in the center of the town to act as the focal point for the town, with businesses being set up and selling essential goods. Life was slowly returning to the area, despite the thousands of deaths from the tsunami. The citizens had to undergo the trauma of burying their dead, with the aid of Byzantine troops and construction workers. Regardless, a sense of normalcy was restored. Much of the devastation had since been cleared and removed.
Ramsley was pleased at the result and made it a point to invite Byzantine citizens and some Red Technocracy faithful to join him for mass every Sunday. The next step was to jump start the agriculture and fishing industry here again. An agreement was reached between the Diocese and Byzantium to supply fishing boats, farming vehicles and construction vehicles to rebuild the coastal industries and the farms. It will take 1-2 years, but the Diocese was on the way to a firmer economic footing, with proposals to set up some light industries to produce textiles and so forth within the next 2 years.
On the military side, 5 BMP-3s and 5 BTR-90s will be handed over to the Diocese. These will be used to patrol the border and to guard against any possible invasion. The Byzantine government told the Patriarch Ramsley that they would hand more vehicles over should there be need for it. In the meantime, instructors from Red Technocracy and Imperial Byzantine Army will train the infantry troops of the Diocese. A police force will also be trained to maintain law and order. The Byzantine Empire will appoint an Exarch to assist with the economic development of the Diocese. It is expected that the Byzantine government will appoint another Exarch to the Sultanate to also assist with the reconstruction of the Sultanate and help restore the kingdom.

Olympic Stars Return from Canissia
[Wanhua] The ROM Olympic Team yesterday returned to Mangka and joined in a public celebration of their accomplishments in the Canissia Olympics -- two gold, one silver and two bronze medals.
The medalists were the Women's Softball Team (Gold), Women's Beach Voleyball Team (Bronze), Men's Soccer Team (Bronze), Women's Track & Field (Gold), and Women's Wrestling (Silver).
The whole Olympic Team arrived at the Mangka International Airport and were welcomed by a group of more than 1000 people, including family members, teachers and friends, and fans.
After a short press conference at the airport to show their gratitude for the support they received throughout the Olympics, they boarded a bus to where the celebration began.
They then arrived at the Wanhua 101 where Reika Matsumada, pitcher and star of the Women's softball team made a short talk on behalf of her fellow athletes encouraging all athletes in Mangka to work hard to accomplish their goals. A party held at the 101 Plaza followed with food and drinks. Fans lined up to get autographs from their favorite athletes.
The whole Olympic Team will be meeting the President and Vice President at the Presidential Hall today. The medalists will be receiving awards, honoring their accomplishments.

With the final results from the NovaTerran Olympics posted it would appear that no participant from the Qudlivun Free State will be returning with a medal. The Grand Duke has been quoted recently as saying, "Just like our contributions to international peace, our state's performance was quite unremarkable." The Grand Duke thanked all citizens who participated in the games and is also quoted as stating that he enjoyed watching them perform.

The often unseen Grand Duchess of the Qudlivun Free State has reportedly taken ill. She is currently resting comfortably at home after a bout with an unknown virus that left Her Grace severely dehydrated and vomiting profusely.

"Excellent!",- Elena said, "Tomorrow our enemy shall meet his end, and it will be a painfully end. Now leave, this is now my responsibility. And remember, not a word of this to anyone."
"Yes mistress"- the young girl said and walked away.
Elena was left alone in the dark. She was thinking of tomorrow, everything was ready, tomorrow she would fulfill her destiny and kill the evil enemy of the God Emperor. Tomorrow she will avenge all those who had died from the hand of the evil Shroomanians. "We have lost two wars with these people, so many of my people have died by their hand but now they too shall suffer, i cannot kill them all, but i can kill their leader."-she thought to herself, "Tomorrow vengeance shall be mine."

"I have some alarming news"-Kane said with an urgent tone, "My lord i am afraid that Elena has betrayed you."
"What?"- the emperor asked confused. "My lord, half an hour ago we captured a former W.I.T.C.H. operative in Shroomania, it seems that the operative is working for Elena and that they plan to assassinate Prime Minister Shroom. The operative was apparently tricked by Elena into believing that you ordered the hit."
"I can't believe this is happening. I trusted her. Why is she doing this?"
"We don't know, but we are doing everything we can to stop her."
"Have you informed the Shroomanians about this? We cannot allow her to succeed."
"We have my lord, their security people should be receiving the call right about now. I have also ordered all of our agents in Shroomania to intercept and detain her."
"I hope that your people are capable of stopping her Mr.Kane"
"My lord, I assure you my agents are capable operatives...
"They better be more than capable Mr.Kane. Elena is the best operative the Empire has ever had, that women is death incarnate and she will not be stopped easily."

Two Shepnukistani merchant sailors held captive by the Coilerburg government since the international crisis that came close to nuclear war were released and returned to Shepnukistan today.
The two were taken captive after a naval battle between the Coilerburg navy and two Shepnukistani bulk freighters that attempted an armed breakout out of Navalopolis rather than being seized. During the battle, the BC-49 was sunk, with the two captives being the only survivors, while the BC-45 escaped back to Shepnukistan.
The two sailors were kept in captivity throughout the Shepnukistan civil war. Now that the war is over, the Coilerburg government decided that the time was right to return them.[/b]

Embassies will be set up in both countries to enhance communication. Scholarships will be extended to citizens of both countries in hope that these students would return to aid their countries in the reconstruction effort. The Emperor believes that in due time, Terra Libertia would be stabilised and warfare a thing of the past.

She had evaded the Shroomanian Secret Service, and even the watchful eyes of Motto Skorzeny's ex-Shroomstaffel men. Posing as one of the secretaries, she had disguised herself perfectly.
She drew her weapon, a ceramic pistol invisible to metal detectors. She was going in for the kill.
"Elena!" Solid Snail shouted, hoping to distract her.
She turned and shot him in the head.
Blood splattered over the Prime Minister's pink coat - the same one he wore to the day's pride parade. This was the second time he saw blood...
The SSS and ex-SS men would be reacting now. It was now or never. Elena returned her attention to the Prime Minister.
He just stood there, watching.
She aimed her weapon, squeezed the trigger and -
"No!" Solid Snail lunged at her, grabbing her arm and snapping her wrist like a twig.
She cried out - not in pain, as she was trained to resist it - but in surprise. The man she had just killed was now grappling with her, preventing her from ending her target's life.
He glared at her and she saw his cyclopean visage - the gaping wound that was his right eye bleeding profusely, covering half his face in blood, while his other eye was still intact.
Her surprise gave way to action. She was disarmed, but far from unarmed. She drew out her combat knife and moved to stab her assailant.
Too late.
She heard a high-pitched humming noise and she collapsed to the floor, unable to move.
"Sir, are you alright?" one of the ex-SS men asked, to Snail or Prime Minister Shroom, no one could tell. In his hands was one of the new MacMillan sonic-electronic ball-breakers.
"I'm fine," the Prime Minister answered as he removed his bloodstained coat and handed it to a cleaner. "Take her to the brig."
Result:
Elena is captured and will be interrogated. We're gonna find out what's behind this dickery, Shady

Selene: Manned landing and exploration program
Lunar Orbital Reconeissance System (LORS): Unmanned lunar reconeissance program.
Forward Lunar Lander (FLL): Unmanned probe landing program.
Extended Lunar Presence (ELP): Post-Selene laboratory construction program, utilizing heavy booster and landers to construct a semi-permanent research base on Selene
Requirements for Selene program finalized
After nearly two months of deliberation, studies and design competitions, the final concept of the Selene moon-landing program have been finalized.
The Selene spacecraft will consist of the following modules:
- Soyuz TMA capsule, equipped with a Standardized Inter-agency Docking Port (SIADP), allowing interoperability with MESS space stations and capsules. Contains the crew couches, living space and lavatory.
- Soyuz service module, containing the Lunar Maneuver Engine (LME), stores of oxygen and fuel for the trip, solar panels and comms equipment.
- Altair three-person lunar module (LM), consisting of a Descent Stage and and Ascent Stage.
Selene program will be realized in the following phases, using the Lunar Orbital Rendezvous model:
Stage One: Docking system tests, duration flights, EVA excercises and rendezvous tests. Missions Selene 1-6. Soyuz boosters only.
Stage Two: Terra Orbital LM tests: docking systems test, descent engine tests, orbital maneuver tests, life support tests, radar and avionics tests. Finalized with a duration flight of the completed Selene spacecraft. Proton-M and Vulkan flights. Selene 7-9.
Stage Three: Lunar Orbital Selene tests. Missions planned include an unmanned and manned lunar flyby, manned lunar orbital and manned lunar orbit LM test. Proton-M and Vulkan boosters. Selene 10-13
Stage Four: Manned lunar landings. Surface experiments, exploration, documentation. Vulkan boosters. Selene 14-21.
Selene program will close after Selene 21, and the hardware will be used in further exploration programs.
Research and development continues on Selene and unmanned programs
As FASTA requirements are finalized, the research and development contracts are coming to fruition. Canissian unmanned probes will be ready for launch in Q1 2012, and astronaut training is proceeding on schedule in Indophal.
First Soyuz TMA capsule are finishing production as of this moment ; With Soyuz boosters in storage, the first unmanned capsule test (Selene 1A) will conduct within two or three months, followed by a manned maneuvering and rendezvous test (Selene 1B) utilizing the Agena Target Vehicle - a docking module, which will remain in orbit for tests of the docking systems.
Systems integration between upgraded Soyuz TMA avionics and ground-control stations is currently underway at Comona Island, Shroomania. Procedure development at Korolev spaceport is also proceeding according to schedule.
