I'm not deaf...just half-blind (legally blind is IIRC 20/800 vision, I have 20/400 in one eye and 20/425 in the other, with a stigmatism in my right eye).

I'm pretty lucky, I have 20/20 vision, every single other member of my known family needs glasses. I also have the full range of my hearing, careful usage of earphones when shooting and never developing an interest in loud music seem to have done it.
