How.. and what gives this thing the lift?? Can those fans really... do the trick!? And the fuel!

It looks like a copy of a Hammer's Slammer vehicle. I don't have the engineering experience to say whether it'd work, but I doubt it. And the recoil from the gun would probably flip the tank if it did.

yes, and yes, actually the barrel is 70mm, the sabot round is quite small. still they actually have to ground themselves to avoid the recoil problems.

So it would take me about 2 game years to completely recover my standard of living compared to what it was before the war. Remember, this is not an African country, where 35 years of civil war have destroyed all but the most basic infrastructure outside of the capital city -- this was a short and intense civil war.

Second, scramjets are definitely not basic extrapolations of 1960s technology. We're just now getting small scale flightweight engines that actually deliver net thrust.

I am not NASA, which is run by retards. There will be no less than fifteen X-57s, and they will be flying near constantly -- getting up to mach 3.944 with the turboramjets and then seeing if the scramjets work. If they don't work; the engines are tinkered with by the scientists and engineers, until we can achieve a workable scramjet which can stay lit near indefinitely.

You don't lick the problem of supersonic combustion by just having two datasets (go NASA! Cancel further X-43 development!); you lick it by having thirty or forty datasets to look at. This will take time though. It won't be until probably two years from now that I can get scramjets working reliabily.

Northray sells the AT-38D advanced jet trainer. Douglas sells the AT-45D advanced jet trainer. The RT sells another themselves. Not sure who else manufactures jet trainers.

Both the AT-38D and the AT-45D have been designed to also carry out the light attack role (include carriage of AIM-9, and AIM-120(though since the radar sucks ass, you don't have much range on the AMRAAM)).

There are 24 remanufactured AT-38Ds for sale. The IRT is taking a currently unknown quantity(scratch that, he's taking all 24). After that, it's new manufactured airframes. Northray isn't currently projecting major sales, so unless someone comes up with a large order, there won't be an actual production line for them. However, if anyone operates T-38s and wants them upgraded, Northray will upgrade them for a fee.

The AT-45D Strike Goshawk is a bit heavier, since it's a carrier bird, but has relatively similar performance. Since the Tian Xia Air Force has decided to acquire them, a production line has been set up. So if you want them, Douglas is selling.

Right. So that'll stretch the current production run to another 50 aircraft (TXAF replacements are done, but they want another 12 for expansion). I'll put the remaining TXAF birds at the end of the line, for now. Should be produced at a rate of 3 a month, which means delivery should be completed by the end of next real life month for the both of you.

As part of the deal, Douglas naturally will conduct training on the type, both flight simulator, as well as real flights. I'll do a game post about this tomorrow. It's too soon to do another AvLeak issue anyway.

The "Ferdinand Magellan" will serve to extend our coverage around 20% during its trip, which should do for the first phase of Selene (1-6). In 2012, the FASTA will order nuclear commerce/servicing ships which will establish a large, dispersed network of tracking receivers on the various small islands on the Great Ocean. We'll also deploy floating tracking platforms.

We may also try to modify some commercial freighters to serve as tracking ships.
