It's soooooooo dreamy. But then I'm a sucker for Aussie girls. It's the only reason they make Neighbours still, because it sure ain't for your writers' talent. :)

Funny thing was, I saw that particular girl in Man Thing, some Marvel movie that was on satellite and obviously never towered to SM3's heights. She was not as sexy with a decidedly dodgy southern States accent when hints of Aussie-ness came through.

Woah, hold the phone. Are you suggesting that Neighbours is poorly scripted?

I occassionally watch Neighbours and Home and Away and frequently wonder whether certain cast members can't act, or aren't allowed to.

As for the movie, well, I could do without seeing Rachael Taylor in it. Her character was given a bunch of stupid directions to take in the last screenplay, and I did not form an attachment.

I AM!!!
Please do not make Americans fight giant monsters.

Those gun nuts do not understand the meaning of "overkill," and will simply use weapon after weapon of mass destruction (WMD) until the monster is dead, or until they run out of weapons.

They have more WMD than there are monsters for us to fight. (More insanity here.)

I'm not trusting any reports about new Transformers until they are officially announced, because of misinformation that was spread during the first film's production.

Kinda. There are gonna be Humans in it, and if there are gonna be humans, than they'd better fucking contribute.

I vote that /\ for what the next movie needs to open with.

Cue two hours and thirty minutes of total carnage provided by ILM and Michael Bay's own personal pyrotechnics armoury.

Ah, is it a full prequel? I thought it was just a recap of the first movie with a teaser for the second - is it any good? The last movie prequel was pretty mediocre, so I didn't really bother with this one.
The first issue was the last hour of the movie from StarScream's POV. The second issue covers what happens between the fight in the city and StarScream leaving atmosphere in the movie credits. The third is promising us Wreckers vs 'Cons on Mars.

She was the worst fucking character in the whole film. She had a fucking void where her personality was supposed to be, and she served no real purpose other than to introduce the comedian black guy and implement the well-worn "your well-paid experts are all useless next to my super-hacking power" cliche.

A character like that is totally worthless unless you get to see her fucked up the ass.

If she doesn't get a role in TF2 maybe she'll start doing porn, Mike. Keep your fingers crossed.

Yeah, can you imagine Michael Bay doing hardcore porn? Seven helicopters, a car chase, and the money shot intercut with old Spruance destroyers exploding.

He can time the orgasm in the sex scene to go with a massive explosion in the background. :P

I would LOVE to see the Constructicons get some screen time without their characters being fucked up.

Devestator. On the big screen. Just plowing through buildings like they weren't even there and blowing shit up. Oh yeah.

I heard that Soundwave was going to be in the first movie, but they decided they couldn't do him justice yet and held off on using him until the sequel. They had Blackout with Scorponok and Barricade with Frenzy, so I'm certain Soundwave's gimmick of ejecting smaller robots from his chest can be put to good use. Now if only they bring Frank Welker in to do his voice.

So, of the Decepticons, who survived in the first movie besides Starscream? Barricade was in the highway chase but then never showed up in the city battle and I didn't see him in the body disposal scene, so presumably he lived. Scorponok had his tail blown off and was hurt pretty bad, but he managed to get away and is presumably still in Katar. And Frenzy is presumably still alive, but probably a prisoner under study by the government now. Do those sound like reasonable conclusions?

There is an official prequel to Transformers 2 (as there was with the first movie) being sold now: Reign of StarScream. In Issue 2 we see what's happened to Frenzy.

Reign isn't really a prequel to TF2, as the authors knew almost nothing about the plot of TF2 when they were writing it. What happens is likely to have pretty much nothing to do with the film, I think. It's just a fun little romp in the movie-verse.

JVR. There seems to some feeling amongst the fandom, that this will be a "throwaway" story, being either ignored or contradicted by "Transformers 2." Are their fears unfounded? Is there something you've done to avoid this?

CM. I think the fears are absolutely founded, but we never set out to just fill in some space between the two films. As it stands now, we're on our fourth revision. The first one took place immediately after the film and used nearly every character we could think of. We tried very hard to anticipate what characters would be in the sequel and to try to provide our input on how some of them might be here and not need such elaborate introductions in the sequel. That idea is, pun intended, extinct now. The second revision had to do with feedback we received from Hasbro and we pulled it back a lot. The story changed, and we started to put pen to paper again. Things changed again, and a few characters were dropped (or re-submerged if you will) once more. The third revision was what I feel was the one closest to what a movie sequel would be and we actually had Alex doing some absolutely BEAUTIFUL designs on the cast. We had very plausible ideas and origins for these characters, but alas, we had to make changes and tweak the story with an entirely new cast. Hopefully one day we can share those original proposals!

But while there were a lot of revisions and (in my case) fanboy dreams destroyed (or devastated), we still wanted to do a story that we felt was solid and true to the movie universe, at least as far as IDW has been involved with. So as it stands now, we've never seen or heard anything about what the sequel holds (save for a certain character that we won't disclose), nor have we seen any leaked script treatment. We're just trying to tell a story which takes place around the first movie and leads up to the sequel. We've tried to keep it as open as possible to allow basically anything to happen. We're also not focusing on Earth in this story. We'll be there, sure, but we're going to Cybertron and even to a certain planet in our solar system. So, we've always thought of the sequel while doing the story, but we've basically been flying blind if you will. But the story is going to be a lot of fun and I think will have its own place in the movie universe.
From here.

Useless as she was being a MacGuffin for another useless character to tick the rest of the minority boxes, she was a hot piece of tail.

And on Bay and sex scenes: just don't expect it. For The Island, Scarlet wanted to do the sex scene topless. Bay flat out refused, because he wanted that PG-13 rating. The man is a nut, lending credence to composer Harry Gregson-Williams' comment of him being "the most odious director" he worked with/

You know I really want a GG1 locomotive as a transformer myself; I can’t get too excited about an SR-71 because it’s probably not going to zoom past at mach 3.4 and 95,000 feet chasing Starscream or Megatron…. Sigh if only they could use the YF-12 at Wright-Patterson instead and have a hypersonic dogfight.

I would kill to see a YF-12 Jetfire engage Starscream over Mission City, fucking over the streets as others fight on the ground, then Starscream trying to bug out, only for Jetfire to go after him and have one nuclear equipped death match in LEO.

I'm picturing the dogfight at the end of Macross Plus. With ILM in charge.

Good news for Jetfire fans. This is a theory based on spoiler info:

Sam goes the way of Archibald, obsessively sketching the Allspark, and he starts to go a little crazy. It's entirely possible that if a bit of the Allspark resides within him now, he could do what Buster did in the comics- disassemble the Decepticon Jetfire and reassemble him as an Autobot. So even though the call sheets list Jetfire as a Con, we could still get that Jetfire vs. Starscream fight.[
