16/20. Not bad for a foreigner, although they look like a bunch of trivia questions to me. I don't see what they have to do with being a good citizen.

19/20 I had no idea what Susan B Anthony did.
Yeah, this is a damn useless test, how about some good question about laws rather than simply history?

16/20, like Wong said, not too bad.

Most of those were simply trivia questions, though it did have a few that made sense to ask.

45% - I didnt do American history, heh.

The British one is fairly insane, from what I understand, I doubt I would pass it.

17/20 and one of those was a stupid booboo on my part. But if that's the official test, it's just fucking Trivial Pursuit instead of anything useful.

And to be honest, it was a history lesson mixed with a couple number questions. I don't get how it's a citizenship test, honestly.

Sad that thing notes that if you got above 85%, you were more knowledgeable about history then most Americans...

Is this stuff really on the citizenship test? Some of the questions make sense, as ideally, you would want citizens to know how their government works. But others just seem like trivia, better suited for Jeopardy! or the like.

Should have been 17/20 if I had thought a second longer on where Maine is.

Actually reading about this stuff would have helped naturally.

From a couple of my co-workers who are working towards getting their US Citizenship I've been told that there is also a oral part to the test. IIRC they ask one question similar to those on the test and then the person must provide a verbal answer in English.

It sounds like this last bit, and especially it being in English, is something that trips a lot of people up and they end up taking the test multiple times. I don't know if they have to pay the whole fee each time because that seems rather cruel considering the application is pretty expensive. I have heard that they sometimes waive this portion for people who are older non-English speakers. I don't know if it's an official waiver or whether the people administering the tests let some people pass because they feel sorry for them. The Vietnamese mother-in-law of one of my co-workers was eventually passed even though she still doesn't really speak English well enough to answer the verbal part of the test.

From what I understand the American citizenship is a paper pushing thing. By the time you jumped all the hurdles presented in federal bureaucracy the actual test is merely a formality.
I have to tell you something everything I wrote above is a lie.

Hmmm, this looks different from the test we took in high school. I remember that one (almost a decade ago) because it was part of our final, only worth 5% of our grade in US History, but anyone who failed the test failed the class, even if they got perfect on everything else.

It recently got Nerfed. It replaced a harder, more exacting test. Maybe to make up for the fact that we're hammering the immigrants with increased fees, so we have to make it easier somewhere else?

Something about Libertarianism always bothered me. Then one day, I realized what it was:
Libertarian philosophy can be boiled down to the phrase, "Work Will Make You Free."

In Libertarianism, there is no Government, so the Bosses are free to exploit the Workers.
In Communism, there is no Government, so the Workers are free to exploit the Bosses.
So in Libertarianism, man exploits man, but in Communism, its the other way around!

18/20. Missed the succession question and spaced out on the Chief Justice.

and yeah, it pretty much just a formality. A stupid one, but there none the less.

13/20, but mostly because half the questions are trivial shit I don't give a flying fuck about.

Did good on the questions that would actually make sense for a citizenship test, stuff about the government and the constitution.

15/20, although it would have been 16 if I had read the WWI question correctly instead of seeing WWII and clicking FDR.
