I know that there are examples of this in nature, but I question whether this would be applicable to a human society, made up of thinking and feeling creatures. Joe Average's gut instinct when confronted with something strange is to fear it or be repulsed by it, and I cannot see why horned mutants would not be viewed thusly. Granted, sociology allows for much, so I suppose it would not be impossible for a society to adopt such beauty ideals; it merely struck me as very unlikely.
Humans on Earth have engaged in all sorts of physical modifications, may of which I find unattractive or downright repulsive. Sticking pieces of bone into the lips to make them larger, stretching the neck with layers of copper rings, and sticking stingray barbs in penises are just three of them. In a vast society that had existed for thousands of years and contains countless human sub cultures, that one of them for whatever reason decided to go in for horns doesn't seem unreasonable. I'll take the horns over stingray barbs any day.
The Excellent Prismatic Spray. For when you absolutely, positively must kill a motherfucker. Accept no substitutions. Contact a magician of the later Aeons for details. Some conditions may apply.
In Dark Saber, I think it was, Daala fires a blaster at Calysta repeatedly and all her shots get deflected by her lightsaber. Daala then switches to stun and the spreading ring of the stunblast becomes unblockable, stunning her. Both women escaped before the ship they were on crashed, so again, the stun didn't last very long.
This was based on the idea that in ANH the stun blasts that hit Leia were expanding. This appeared to be the case, but it was because the shot was coming towards the camera. Also this is KJA.

Yes, I am.
"But there's no story past Episode VI, there's just no story. It's a certain story about Anakin Skywalker and once Anakin Skywalker dies, that's kind of the end of the story. There is no story about Luke Skywalker, I mean apart from the books."

I'm aware. I was pointing out what was described in the story. It's also not the only book/author that describes stun beams as being expanding rings.
