There is no such thing as copy proof CD. Music execs need to get their heads out of their assesSpanky The Dolphin wrote:Last CD I bought was the FOTR soundtrack, so yes, it was worth paying... $15 for.
And just so you know: I do NOT support the concept of those copy-proof CDs, as they possibly involve a reduction in quality.

I don`t have a problem with them making profir but at the cost of 50 cents to make a CD and selling them $20.00 its just too high $5.00 would be enough.Pu-239 wrote:Then what would be the point. No profit, no incentive to make them.Necro99 wrote:F*ck them all, everything should cost the price it cost to make them
Also the MPAA site always assumes the consumer is pirating.
No, something between 7-10 is better. You have to factor in marketing overhead, etc.

Actually, most CDs, even new releases, are almost always between $10-15 where I live.
Plutonium, I don't consider downloading a few songs off of WinMX (not that piece of excreatible shit, Kazaa) to be theft.
Let me make something fucking clear to you. Most of my 1234 MP3s consist of these categories: anime, video game, remixes, and popular/80s/rare. I'd say that at least 10% of them aren't even released on CD, ripped directly from the games. Most things that have been released on CD are either virtually impossible to find, or are prohibitively expensive (~$30 per import CD). I do buy cheap imports when I can, but I have to take what I can find.
I will admit that I actually do have a few albums worth of MP3s, but they're all video game sountracks: Final Fantasy VII, Grandia II, NiGHTS, and Tetrisphere.
At least half of my MP3s came from websites like BIGmog.com. Most of the songs I've recently downloaded have been remixes of video game music from OC ReMix, so they're not illegal.
And strictly speaking, I don't hate you or anything. You just kind of annoy me sometimes: Necro actually pisses me off.
