Arm removal, etc.
I remember seeing a list of like...the names of the different moves Jedi do that remove a hand, or a limb, or decapitate, and, like, the meaning associated with each (like, removal of a hand during a fight is a sign of respect or some crazy shit like that and it's had some kind of wacky name for the move, too. like teeshaw'nakpa or someshit.)
am I insane, or does such a list/webpage exist?

No, you aren't insane

A long time ago, I had the idea for an action figure line with limb removals as the centerpeice. They would come in two packs, and one of the toys would have a removable limb. Like, Obi Wan in his desert robes would come with a Ponda Baba whose arm comes off. Or,Vader and Luke in his Bespin costume with a removable hand. Honestly, I would still buy those toys today.

You could easily recreate that experience with regular action figures.Silver Jedi wrote:A long time ago, I had the idea for an action figure line with limb removals as the centerpeice. Step 1. Buy Obi-Wan and Ponda Boba action figures.
Step 2. Cut off Ponda Boba's hand.
Step 3. Enjoy!
(In all seriousness that would be a cool combo idea.)

The old Jurassic Park toys had something like that - "realistic wounds", where a piece of skin came off where, presumably, the dinosaur had been bitten.Silver Jedi wrote:A long time ago, I had the idea for an action figure line with limb removals as the centerpeice. On-topic: So where do the names for all the styles of lightsaber combat, and the move names come from? Some seemed to come from the KOTOR II game. Are the rest from other games, or just a conglomeration of labels taken from novels and comics? I can't remember reading a novel and it containing any specific style names.
Edit for grammar.

I know that several of the lightsaber forms are talked about in the ROTS novelization, but I don't know if those were copied from somewhere else.

Ah yes.... "Dino Damage!" I never had those toys, but I remember my brother and I thought up something similar to that idea, but figured it would be too gruesome for a kid's toy. Then a few years later these things come along...!Molyneux wrote:The old Jurassic Park toys had something like that - "realistic wounds", where a piece of skin came off where, presumably, the dinosaur had been bitten.Silver Jedi wrote:A long time ago, I had the idea for an action figure line with limb removals as the centerpeice. fun/fantasy movies existed before the overrated Star Wars came out. What made it seem 'less dark' was the sheer goofy aspect of it: two robots modeled on Laurel & Hardy, and a smartass outlaw with bigfoot co-pilot and their hotrod pizza-shaped ship, and they were sucked aboard a giant Disco Ball. -adw1
