I'm having trouble wrapping my head around this...

Is his 'ministry' the website? Or does he indeed have some sort of baptist congregation in what ever hick-ville he lives in?
They say, "the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots." I suppose it never occurred to them that they are the tyrants, not the patriots. Those weapons are not being used to fight some kind of tyranny; they are bringing them to an event where people are getting together to talk. -Mike Wong

But as far as board culture in general, I do think that young male overaggression is a contributing factor to the general atmosphere of hostility. It's not SOS and the Mess throwing hand grenades all over the forum- Red

He likes to use self-aggrandizing words. His "ministry" is undoubtedly the website, just as his "analyses" are actually just his movie reviews.

So he is not even a 'minister' just some wannabe fundie fuckwit? Gotcha. Well, I feel bad for the family (read kids) but not for him. Millions of people, I'm betting, wish they could live off of proceeds from their hobbies. Every once in a while some one manages to do so, but the majority fail and have to go get a job.

This guy is nothing but a crappy blogger who actually had the balls to live off of internet donations to his crappy opinions. I'd love to be a lazyboy comfort tester myself and get paid six figures to do it, but it ain't happening so I get on in my life and do stuff I don't necessarily like to do. Hell, he's only fifteen or so years older than me, I'm in school he can too. I'd be curious to see who his donors are? Wonder if his mom is one of the four.

Honestly, with as many stories of incompetent or just plain overburdened/overworked CPS workers as I hear I wouldn't be at all surprised if they didn't think or notice he was unfit.

Foster children are usually temporary placements until a family can be found to adopt, the "gone but not forgotten' is not at all uncommon, yo9u DO develop a bond with the kids your fostering, but you also acknowledge you can't keep them.

Except well, the ones that he kept. that also happens a lot, some foster parents can't stand to let the one kid go so they adopt them. Then it happens again... and again...
until you end up with a sixty yr old woman trying to raise seven kids :-p

ministry doesn't always equal you are a minsiter. it is sometimes applied an action taht serves an evangelical purpose. For example clown minstry. NOT making this up. You dress as a clown to amuse people in a hospital, you incorporate gospel teachings into your acts.. You are doing the work of God so its a ministry.

its not really a surprise there is a watchdog ministry.

It boggles the mind that he can get people to donate $660 a month regularly. I should open a website and post fundie essays for money. I'm sure we've all heard enough Fundie arguments to parrot them back effectively.
I am capable of rearranging the fundamental building blocks of the universe in under six seconds. I shelve physics texts under "Fiction" in my personal library! I am grasping the reigns of the universe's carriage, and every morning get up and shout "Giddy up, boy!" You may never grasp the complexities of what I do, but at least have the courtesy to feign something other than slack-jawed oblivion in my presence. I, sir, am a wizard, and I break more natural laws before breakfast than of which you are even aware!

Would this income be nontaxable (in the US, at anyrate) because it is a religious venture?
