I don't have time right now to get the images linked, but here is a link to the start of the gallery. A much much larger gallery is in the works (One that will use about 10-20% of the 1900 or so photos I took).

Some nice stuff, although a wee bit more filtering and then posting to this thread might be nice.

Looks awesome, I hope I can go there with my family this summer... Any special photography tips whilst there?

Batteries - Bring plenty of batteries - for the Camera, not so much for the flash (as most of your shots will not need the flash or flash photography will not be allowed
Know your Camera - This is a given
Know your Lenses
Have a good Telephoto (At least a 250mm, preferably a 300mm+)
Have a good general lens (one that takes you out to at least 150mm) for catching the shots you are not expecting
Plenty of Memory cards - I burned through between eight and ten gigs of memory with an 8MP camera (while shooting in RAW only about 8-12% of the time
Have FAST memory cards (So you don't get memory lag)
Have a Good case. Not just one that carries your stuff, but one that you can keep on you at all times, after all the best camera in the world is the one that you have on you. [I used a smaller waist-mounted case because I left my A1 at home due to weight on the plane, and I kept my back-pack with me for when I was going to use my tripod, and I got the impression that the two bag set up was rather common from just looking around]
Tripods are nice but overrated. If you have the space/weight take both a tripod and a monopod
Binoculars are good for spotting if you have more than one person out in the field (IE a spotter-shooter arraignment).

What boat were you on? Also looks like you took a whale watching trip. Allen Marine, or someone else? Also, its kinda sad you don't have more pictures from the Juneau area. Juneau kicks ass, but downtown is so tacky. Also, anyone with a little extra money should seriously consider one of the flightseeing tours. it truly is another world up there. I'll try to get my pictures up in a little bit.

Also, that Jayhawk isn't so rare around these parts. In the last couple weeks, I've seen one of those, a blackhawk, an F-18, a B-25, and a Qantas jet come in and out of the Juneau airport. Granted it was an unusual couple weeks, but still...

Yeah, but the tour I was on in Juneau didn't do any downtown stuff, just the boat trip and the Mendenhall Glacier part.
