who is a Clinton 'Hillraiser' that doesn't like him.
Normally this wouldn't be unexpected, but when your full name and title is Lady Lynn Forester de Rothschild, you live in a 3200 acre country estate and you call Obama an elitist, it practically defines the word 'hypocrite'.
What's next, David Duke accusing Barack of being a closet white supremacist?

Build your funeral pyre; beside it, my carpenters will build a gallows. You may follow your custom. And then we will follow ours."- General Sir Charles Napier
No, next is when her Grace the Queen, the second of her name Elizabeth Alexandra Mary, Ruler of the Britian's Queen of the Canadians, Defender of the New Zelanders, Overlord of the Australians, Guardian of the Bahamas and Grand High Exalted one of the Solomon Islands... she should call Obama elitist.
After all, he's already got lesser nobility calling him a sob, only the Queen sob can top that.

It is quite hilarious but it plays off the stupid people. They call them elitist in the sense that they think that they are smarter than other people just because of their education. People seem to hate people thinking that they are more informed and smarter than them but don't mind so much people being incredibly richer than they can ever dream of and they thinking themselves better than ordinary people due to their money.

Because most stupid people think that one day they will eventually strike it rich, so we can't disadvantage the rich, we will be rolling in money too someday. I guess it really doesn't require that much mental gymnastics if you don't understand economics or inflation at all. Whereas they know that without extra effort and work, they will not become smarter than the "ivory tower elite". Better to glory things anyone at all can do and create a culture of hatred towards those who are better educated.
“Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else's opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation.” - Oscar Wilde.
The accusation of Obama being an "elitist" works because most people are stupid and ignorant, and they suspect that any obviously smart person is looking down at them. The thing is, they're probably right. But it doesn't mean that they should elect a similarly stupid person who won't look down at them, which is what they seem to do.
In effect, they vote because of personal pride, not because of what's best for the country or even themselves.

HAHAHAHAHA.
Should any political party attempt to abolish social security, unemployment insurance, and eliminate labor laws and farm programs, you would not hear of that party again in our political history. There is a tiny splinter group, of course, that believes you can do these things... their number is negligible and they are stupid. --Dwight D. Eisenhower

True, though I don't get the condescension vibe from Obama at all and I'll freely concede the dude is smart, wealthy, and married to a hawt (for her age) woman while I'm none of the above.
But if the Repubs and the HRC shills make the 'elitist' charge stick, despite the irony inherent in those making the charge being much wealthier and 'elitist' than Obama himself, it'll be poison in the minds of a lot of the electorate.
Though I wonder if people such as Lady de Rothschild are unintentionally doing more harm than good for HRC because I got a load of the condescension vibe from her manner of speaking and body language while I get none at all from Obama.
That may be why CNN identified her simply as 'Lynn Forester' instead of using her full name and title, as a lot of people in my socioeconomic class would simply laugh out loud at a member of landed nobility calling a black man brought up by a single mother an 'elitist'.

It doesn't matter whether Obama shows condescension. What matters is that he makes no attempt to hide the fact that he's smart, and the mere act of speaking intelligently makes them feel inferior, thus tripping off a defensive hostile reaction.

As I said, inherited wealth is OK according to the "populist" movement. As long as you act like you're stupid.

We don't know just how smart Obama is because he hasn't released any information to shed light on it. We know that he was able to transfer to Columbia, so his SATs couldn't have been horrible, and he must have some amount of reasoning ability.
We do know with a pretty high degree of confidence that Bush's IQ is in the high end of the above average range (120-130). But we can't make much more of a definitive statement about Obama because he just hasn't released the data.

It doesn't really matter what his actual IQ is. (IQ is pretty worthless anyway). As long as he sounds intelligent, he's going to be labeled elitist.

I disagree, because both his CV (graduate of Columbia and Harvard Law) and his political campaigns make it clear he's of above average intelligence at least.
Stupid people don't get Harvard law degrees, but as others have made painfully clear, Ivy MBA's sometimes aren't worth the parchment they're written on.

Even George the Dumber was able to attend Yale and (just barely) graduate.

Hence the crack about Ivy MBA's.
Shit, if my last name was Bush I probably could 'earn' an Ivy League MBA without attending a single class.

The acceptance percentage at Harvard MBA is about 15%, compared with 12% for Harvard law. Not exactly a night and day difference.

Acceptance rate =/= quality, especially when there are legacy rules in place (your parents got in, so you'll get in, instead of these better-qualified folks over here whose parents weren't rich enough to get in themselves). Thing I've always heard about a lot of Ivys is that if you manage to get in (through parents pulling strings, or being rich, or whatever), you'll probably get a degree regardless of how intelligent or hard working or any qualities or lack thereof you have.
Isn't something like 60% of the Harvard graduating classes these days getting honors? That's kinda ridiculous.

Not only will you be likely to get a degree but the majority of students will graduate with honors or honors equivalent. Inflation in ivy league schools are high since they don't like giving bad marks to bring down their average.
I noticed that Mayabird mentioned the honors part but she wasn't correct about the exact figure. In June 2001 91% of Harvard graduated with honors!
If you get into an ivy league school you are not that likely to fail yet
Bush managed to tread that line.
