Noticed a typo here.
The chorus of the old song reverberated around the beams of the mess. Al Sahra had been one of Saddam Hussein’s based, now it was the home of the B-1Bs of the 128th Bomb Squadron, Georgia Air National Guard. Major Curtis Trafford gave out a cheer as the song ended and he finished off his drink. Coca Cola as it happened since he was on alert, waiting for the word to come that the beacon

Nice addition to the Vulcan scene, Stu. I was wondering if the slightly x-rated banter would make it to the final version.
Even the old Swordfish from the Battle of Britain Flight was back on duty
Hate to nitpick but its the Royal Navy Historic Flight. If memory serves they have a pair of Stringbags, a couple of Seafuries (an FB.11 and a two seater, IIRC) and a Seahawk.
I suspect that the RAF, and by extension the Royal Navy, if we're using our Stringbags, are just that bit more desperate than the US. We don't have anything on the scale of AMARC for example.

An orc uprising should make things that bit harder for the daemons.

I wonder if there might be any diehard believers out there who convinced themselves that The Message was actually a deception from Satan, and who might try to sabotage humanity's efforts once it turns its attention to the war on Heaven.

Well, yeah, his main stronghold is fucked, but if he survives then I get the impression that gathering the resources to do more lava-attacks shouldn't be too difficult, he just needs enough witches and another volcano.

And then there is 'palelabor', whatever that is.

Could he mount another attack? Possibly. The consequences, however, would be painfully, elaborately clear at that point, and even if Belial decided to, I think he might have some trouble getting subordinates to participate under anything but the direct threat of force.

Did they get reactivated? Cause last I knew, the squadron had transitioned to JSTARS...

Since it looks like we're going to be liberating and/or allying ourselves with the orcs, how long do you think it will be before there's a market for orc/girl porn?

Stuart-
waiting for the word to come that the beacon was up and the strike waiting in the dispersal areas could head off for Beelzebub’s fortress. Six B-1s, two of them were carrying the massive EBU-5(1) Mod.1 bombs intended to close off the portals showering lava onto Sheffield and Detroit.
Beelzebub or Belial?

Well, yeah, it then becomes a political consideration for Belial. He can scrape together as many witches as possible and try to start melting major human political capitols in hopes of disrupting their war effort, but this risks simply having the humans continue to rain down nukes.
The demons still have a few cards up their sleeve IMHO.

-- 'palelabor', is it some super-weapon, a demon equivlant of the nuclear option?

-- continued lava attacks

-- using gorgons to infiltrate Earth and use their chemical mind control to establish cults that raise havok

-- other attacks on the scale of the lava attacks that the author has hinted at but hasn't yet revealed

-- Heaven, what powers and new super-weapons does it have, and will it intervene while Hell is still in the fight? We have some evidence that the Angels are more powerful than demons, can manipulate the flow of time, kill and maim with a thought, etc.

-- lastly, the politics of Hell are about to get really muddled as Satan's grip weakens. There are the rebel orcs, Ceasar's regime and other dead-human organizations that must be out there, and then the anti-Satan demon faction that is about to emerge. The more muddled the politics get, the harder it gets to just steamroll over Hell using all available firepower

Its not that I like the demons, its just that I can't help but pull for the underdog sometimes :)

On a related note, how long until a demon tries to join the US Army under our citizenship program? Will we have integrated units, or will they fight separately?

And there's already a supplier. Style Wager, author and artist of the webcomic "Dela the Hoda", about a dimensionally-displaced fox-girl, also does World of Warcraft erotic art and is well known for his "Rosie Da Orc" art. (Along with a great many visual jokes about "how to create a half-orc without rolling any dice". )

Just google for his name, and his archives will be in the first few links.

Not to mention demons emigrating to Earth and looking for legitimate civilian employment.

I mean, damn... the entire succubus kingdom could migrate to Nevada, take up jobs in the brothels, and we'd never really notice the difference.

Or, for that matter, to Bangkok, Thailand. They've already got some sympathetic humans there. I'd expect that the girls at the Galaxy Turkish Bath and Massage Parlor would be happy to help them get started in the business.

And Dagon's people... they're sentient AND they can handle deep water. Want to bet that they could get an oceanic salvage and mining corporation off the ground double-damn-quick?

I once attempted a RP setting that was just that. :D Basically True Crime: New York City with demons.

We know that the demons involved in the lava attacks could 'hear' radio transmissions. Does that mean they can see the targeting beacons humans have constructed ?

Normally this won't be a problem, but the beacon near Belial's fortress doesn't have much guarding it.

Well, considering that it's probably going to get nuked, the beacon would at least give a general location of the target even if the demons managed to find it and destroy it. That's assuming they don't do anything like taking it back to Belial's palace for examination, which I wouldn't be surprised if they did.
Turns out that a five way cross over between It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, the Ali G Show, Fargo, Idiocracy and Veep is a lot less funny when you're actually living in it.
